This is one of the fatal flaws of being too large: clumsiness.
In comparison, the smaller Wang Ye can break the sound barrier in half a second,
and is far more agile than the Eagle.
Wang Ye rode on the Eagle, slowly soaring into the sky thousands of meters high, where everything was surrounded by mist and clouds with almost no reference points. Yet, Wang Ye could judge from the speed of the airflow that his current speed had already surpassed sonic speeds.
The feathers on the surface of the Eagle's body scattered all the light that shone upon it. From a closer distance, one might be able to see its outline, but being kilometers away, coupled with the enveloping clouds, it was almost impossible for anyone to see the Eagle beneath Wang Ye with the naked eye.
