The doctor glanced weakly at Evelyn, shut his mouth tightly, and indeed didn't say another word. He quietly applied some medicine for external injuries, then instructed the assistant to deliver some anti-inflammatory oral medication. The more private areas could only heal slowly by themselves.
"How... many days until it heals?" Evelyn asked softly.
"I estimate about a week or so." The doctor replied respectfully, "Please note, during this time, you must avoid... that kind of contact."
The doctor's voice was very small, as if afraid of angering Caden Lockwood who was eavesdropping at the door.
"A week!" Evelyn said, frowning in dismay.
Even one hour felt too long for her.
That damned Caden Lockwood, he truly is a beast!
