"Can you stop mentioning Logan all the time?" Evelyn shouted at Caden, her voice strained. "He doesn't have feelings for me! The one he likes is Shannon Dunn!"
"Shannon already rejected his confession a long time ago, told him to give up!" Caden's forehead veins throbbed, "But you showed up by his side at such a time, comforting him, encouraging him. Are you out of your mind? Do you really want him to fall for you?"
"You're the one who's out of your mind!" Evelyn's face flushed with anger. "Logan just got dumped, and he still likes someone as beautiful and elegant as Shannon. Is he blind to suddenly fall for me?"
"Who said you're any less than Shannon?" Caden roared, "Don't you know you have qualities that could completely outshine Shannon? Falling in love with you is so easy!"
After hearing Caden's words, Evelyn's breath hitched.
She blinked, all her bravado dissipated at that moment.
