"Song Daoneng, Happy New Year to you too. What are you up to now?" Yao Xin was in the study, taking a break after answering the call.
"I've gone back to my hometown. My parents are watching TV, so I took a moment to relax," Song Daoneng said with a smile.
Yao Xin knew Song Daoneng well: "Are you still thinking about that surgery? I'm still reviewing this patient's data."
"Director Yao, the on-call doctor in the department just told me that Wang Hua's drainage is a bit much."
Song Daoneng sounded a bit tense: "Director Yao, this patient, is there any chance this might still fail under our care?"
"Handling pancreatic rupture is really tricky."
Yao Xin replied: "Post-pancreatic surgery, pancreatic fistula is the most troublesome. Some patients might even need stoma drainage for life."
