The soup tastes so familiar, Bella Acker is a bit surprised.
"Hmm." Damian Sinclair says, "Did you forget what day it is on the lunar calendar today?"
Bella Acker is stunned, takes out her phone to check the calendar—it's the first day of the twelfth lunar month, Damian Sinclair's birthday.
"I was too busy, didn't notice the calendar." Bella Acker feels a bit embarrassed, "Mr. Sinclair, happy birthday."
"Hmm." Damian Sinclair nods and extends his hand towards her.
Bella Acker is puzzled, "What?"
"Birthday gift," Damian Sinclair says flatly.
Bella Acker blushes, "Sorry, I didn't have time to prepare a birthday gift. Would it be okay if I make it up to you tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow it's not my birthday anymore." Damian Sinclair puts down his chopsticks, picks up a wine glass, and says, "It's okay not to have prepared a birthday gift, just having this meal with me as a birthday gift will do."
