When Tian Xin woke up, the sun had already shifted to the west.
A few people were still at Zhenmin Tavern.
There weren't many customers now, and Li Jing was drunkenly rambling beside her, cursing Zhang Shuai, saying he was blind and mistook a pearl for a lightbulb, not knowing its value.
Zhang Shuai leaned lazily on a chair, clear-eyed and sober, despite the seven or eight wine jars lying in front of him.
Listening to Li Jing's insults, he didn't retort a single word. He looked calmly at the two opposite him, his gaze vacant, lost in thought.
"What time is it?" she asked.
Zhang Shuai came back to his senses, glanced at his watch, and replied, "Almost four o'clock."
"Oh, slept for so long?"
She stretched her arms, stood up, and lazily stretched. Her eyes inadvertently glanced over, finally seeing Li Jing beside her.
"Ah—" She jumped in shock, springing away before finishing her stretch, standing outside the table and looking at Li Jing bewilderedly.
"Why is she here?"
