Tian Xin slept until the afternoon.
She slept so sweetly, not even dreaming. Her stomach continued to growl, reminding her it was time to eat.
"What time is it?" Still sleepy, she fumbled for her phone to check the time, sharply inhaling when she saw it was 9 PM.
The opposite berth was already empty.
The bed and table were clean, showing no signs of anyone having stayed.

She dressed and headed out of the compartment to the dining car.
The dining car was in carriage 9, not far away. Unlike the hard seat area, it wasn't crowded, and she reached it in a few minutes.
A single staff member was on duty at the bar; it was past mealtime, and few people were dining.
She glanced at the menu on the wall and asked, "Is there anything to eat?"
"We only have late-night snacks now," the attendant pointed to the menu: "Fried rice, fast food, porridge, and buns!"
