Jiang Cheng entered the big courtyard ahead of Shen Que and exchanged a knowing glance with Grandma Shen, then smiled and returned to the room.
Once inside the room, she closed the door and pulled the light cord.
With a click, the light grew several degrees brighter, surprising Jiang Cheng slightly.
So bright?
Jiang Cheng moved her gaze from the light bulb to the square table in the main room.
There was a note held down by a kerosene lamp on top.
Jiang Cheng walked over and picked up the note.
It was Shen Que's handwriting.
"Jiang Cheng, I'm writing on behalf of Grandma Shen."
Just reading the first sentence made Jiang Cheng want to laugh.
She was one hundred percent certain that the light bulb change was Shen Que's doing.
Grandma Shen also knew why Shen Que did this, but she still pretended not to know.
Shen Que would solemnly write down a righteous reason.
In short, everyone played their part and was happy in it.
