Hearing this, Gu Tingyu quickly asked, "Where?"
"Maizhou."
"How did you know?"
Gu Tingyu couldn't help but ask. Maizhou is quite far from Shangjing, and it would take four or five hours to drive there.
"Because there have been several instances where Ye Jia Ren said she was going on a long trip, but ended up in Maizhou. Initially, I didn't know about this until I accidentally discovered her whereabouts. At first, I thought she had something difficult to explain, so I didn't ask much. Now, thinking back, there seems to be something strange about Maizhou."
Gu Tingyu couldn't help but say, "You've already discovered that she's hiding something from you, and yet you can sit tight and set an engagement date with her? What are you thinking?"
"I..."
Jinming hesitated helplessly, finding it hard to speak. Over the years, he rarely had feelings for a girl, so naturally, he wanted to cherish it. But he hadn't expected it to turn out like this in the end.
