Hey guys just wanted to make a few things clear.
1st If I didn't mention it before I'm using the Chaos Gatcha website for all the rolls so if you guys want to follow along or do your own rolls and put them in the comments you can do that here.
2nd The reason I had the system locked away while he was a child is that I didn't want to have to come up with five years of random theoretical roles and also I wanted our protagonist to be old enough to actually use some of them plus it would be very difficult for an infant to earn tickets anyway.
3rd it kind of felt like cheating if I just hand-picked the rewards ahead of time. Although sometimes I will do the roles before I write the chapter if I know exactly what type of tickets I'm going to give him that chapter, which is something I did partly with this chapter so I could just copy and paste the text ahead of time.
4rth For romance or love interests I currently have no plans for that at all. But if it happens it happens. Hell, I have half a mind to make Mimi the love interest just because it would be low-key funny and convenient.

[ Location: Gotham City, New Jersey, Crime Alley ]
A woman frantically ran through a narrow alley calling out for help. Behind her, a man covered in tally mark scars chased her down frantically with a knife in hand. The woman screamed, but no one answered as the man grew closer and closer.
The woman was blonde, beautiful, and frankly rather busty. The type of person who was an all too familiar victim in a city like Gotham, a city that echoes death and madness.
She ran for her life not stopping or slowing for any reason, her red high heels clicking violently against the cracked pavement of Gotham sidewalks. She ducked into an alleyway hoping to escape her pursuer, a rookie mistake.
Eventually, the woman turned one final corner only to be met with a dead end her screams growing more and more desperate.
The man, Victor Zsasz grinned wildly as he approached the woman. Like predictor cornering his prey Zsasz grew closer raising his knife eager to free the soul of this poor innocent person from her decrepit flesh.
The woman's shivers grew even more severe as the knife rose into the air, her screams turning into pitiful cries. Then with a security and swiftness only a monster in human skin like Zsasz could have, he plunged the knife downwards with a sinister gleam.
And just like that the prey was caught in the jaws of the true predator. Claws closed, there is a cracking of bone, snapping of limb, and the sudden ripping of flesh.
It is done. Victor Zsasz changes there strung up by large, powerful vines, his arms and legs broken carefully, blood gurgling out the sudden wounds.
Zsasz screamed as he writhed mid-air, his figure all pain, rage, and a thirst for the blood of the innocent.
Then as if nature itself came down to declare judgment on the guilty a young white-haired boy floats down gently atop a series of seemingly sentient vines. Lowering himself to the floor before stepping delicately off the cluster of vines the white-haired boy walked over to the woman.
Like luring a fish the boy caught Zsasz quickly and efficiently but he wasn't at all impatient. He was methodical even, still a child but one who knew exactly what he was doing and how he was going to do it.
The woman or rather the creature in a woman's skin walked over to the boy hugging him excitedly shaving his tiny face into her massive chest like any stereotypical dumb blonde. But this was no random valley girl, this was a monster disguised as an innocent woman.
"Yes, yes thank you Mimi you can let go now before you start to suffocate me." The boy said his voice was muffled by the monster's massive false mammaries. She slowly let go but not after one more squeeze and turned around to face the blood thirsty criminal.
Victor roared in protest at his sudden imprisonment, screaming all types of profanities that a child should never hear. Despite this, the white-haired boy seemed unfazed and simply reached out a hand towards Zsasz.
The green glow in his eyes quickly intensifies as another series of vines wraps around Victor's mouth and throat.
"Alright, I've seen enough tentacle hentai to know where this is going so we can either do this the easy way or the hard way the choice is yours."
Zsasz struggled harder.
"Right that probably doesn't sound right now that I think about it my bad." the boy said chuckling as he grabbed the blonde woman's hand.
"Anyway, Mimi! If you please!" The white-haired boy said turning to look at the blonde woman.
She grinned wildly not the kind, cheerful smile she had given the boy earlier but something deeper, hungrier, and all too wild. Then something unexpected happened.
Her mouth split open in an open maw of wild fangs and razor-sharp teeth shifting form into a sword in the boy's hand. He stepped up to the restrained Zsasz.
He growled like a wild animal, his body and senses flooded with pain and rage. The boy lifted the blade to Zsass's lower torso unable to reach higher.
He gulped hard preparing his mind and body to live with the knowledge of what he was about to do. His breathing quickened as his face hardened from a smile to a frown and then a snarl.
Mustering all the strength his tiny body could, he plunged the blade bone deep into Zsasz's stomach.
"Mreaaaahhrrggh!" Zsasz's muffled scream was still loud enough to fill the entire alleyway and the boy clearly panicked at the sound.
"Ooooh Okay your not dying quickly ahem my bad just let me-" He thrusting again, flinching at the sickening squelch of flesh and the squirt of fresh blood.
"Mmrraaaarghhhh!!" Victor cried out again as the mimic blade plunged deep into his stomach once again. His eyes went wild again before fixating on the boy once again. He thrashed now even harder than before against his restraints, the vines staying the only thing between him and unleashing ultimate violence on the small child. The boy flinched again as he pulled the blade out once again.
"I'm sorry! It's just that I've never killed anyone before you know, it just takes some getting used to you know? Look would you please just die already? You're getting blood everywhere and stabbing you is making me really uncomfortable and-"
"Graaahhmmmmmrrhh!" Zsasz yelled at the child who flinched away once more before sighing.
"You know what? Fuck it! I tried to do this the easy way but you're being really uncooperative about this. So fine just fucking die already!" He plunged the blade back in this time running Victor through completely. He pulled it out before plunging it back over and over again ignoring the muffled screams of the tortured man.
Finally after over a full minute of repeated stabbing the man went still but the boy didn't stop for a few more minutes.
"JUST!"'
SHLICK!
"FUCKING!"
SQWELTCH!
"DIE!"
SPURT!
"ALREADY!
SPLASH!
"YOU!"
SHINK!
"FUCKING!"
SWISH!
"LOSER!"
Then as if snapping out of a trance the boy stopped slowly pulling the blade out of Zsasz's chest. The panted in slight exhaustion from his grim work.
The child stepped back observing the now ruined corpse of Victor Zsasz. His chest heaved and he nearly fell over catching himself by the knees.
"Don't throw up don't throw up don't throw up. DO. NOT. THROW. UP!" The boy repeated to himself over and over as he released the blade, which shifted out of its metallic form and back into the kind and bubbly figure it was before.
It patted him on the back asking if he was okay slowly rubbing smooth circles until the boy stood upright once more.
One of Gotham's most legendary and dangerous serial killers was murdered by a five-year-old kid with a simple plan and a bit of luck. If it didn't make him feel sick the boy wanted to laugh.
"Ah… what the hell… I'll laugh anyway! AHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"
He laughed as the madness of his situation finally sank in. In that moment this young innocent child became not only a criminal but a true Gothamite. A strange, unique form of derangement only someone from Gotham could have begun to take root in the little boy's mind.
He laughed madly, maniacally, with zero concern for anything else in the world and soon the strange creature joined him. They laughed in laughed for minutes on end before the boy suddenly stopped and stared down at something. His face grew serious before another smile crossed his face then he turned around and crossed his arms facing away from the corpse as it was released from its wild vines.
"Right… well Mimi you earned your meal just finish it quickly and we've achieved our goal here." He said gesturing to the slumped corpse behind him.
The monster giggled jumping up and clapping her hands together. Then she smiled a bright wide grin of pure joy which quickly grew once more into an open maw of fangs followed by her hurling herself forwards at the body.
Unmentionable sounds came from behind the boy who flinched at the noise. When she was finished licking the blood from all the walls the mimic shifted back into cat form and nuzzled up to her master's leg.
"Alright, good girl. You full?" her petting the small cat on that small spot behind the ears that she liked.
"Yes, Meowster!" She said nodding cheerfully as she burped up a single bone from Victor's rib cage. The white-haired boy nodded and picked her up as she morphed back into a small shoulder bag and began to walk off into the darkness of Gotham's streets.

[ Location: Gotham City, New Jersey, The Batcave ]
Bruce paused the disturbing video and paused in contemplation. A few hours ago police reports had come in of a woman screaming in terror followed by a man with a knife.
It was nothing particularly out of the ordinary for Gotham City, but soon enough the police had located the incomplete skeleton of a man in that same area.
One quick check of the man's description confirmed that it was Victor Zsasz. Zsasz is a difficult killer to track as he has no modus operandi outside of posing his victims' corpses in lifelike poses and carving a tally mark into his flesh for each kill. Zsasz is motivated by believing all life to be meaningless cycles of pain and that he is actually saving his victims from having to live on.
After checking the CCTV footage of the area, finding him chasing the woman down wasn't hard. But he hadn't found out what had happened to Zsasz or the woman after they turned into an alleyway with no cameras. It was near a crime alley as well.
The pain of that night flooded back into Bruce's chest again all too familiar. No matter how much time had passed it never seemed to go away. He narrowed his eyes keeping his mind on task.
Bruce had already been awake for 48 hours fighting Clayface, Grundy, and Two-Face sending all of them back to Arkham where they belonged.
Still, he'd had enough time to visit the site of the body before it had been fully closed off by the police and use his detective mode to recreate a video of what must have happened from evidence and other scattered footage.
If what he'd just been going over for the past hour was at all correct then Bruce had another problem.
"Master Bruce?" A familiar voice called out from behind him. He turned to see a butler with a silver platter in hand.
Alfred grimaced at the screen before looking back to Bruce. He stepped closer setting the tray down next to Bruce. Lifting the lid a few small snacks and a cup of tea for Bruce.
Normally Alfred would have to nag at him to take it but Bruce didn't complain this time. He simply took the cup and started sipping.
"It's a recreation of the crime scene we can't be fully sure it's accurate," Bruce said between sips as he rewound the video.
"I see the boy is indeed young, meta-human? Quirk perhaps? And the girl?" Alfred said leaning forward to see the cheerful creature more clearly.
"She's the real horror here, Alfred. High-level shapeshifter and possibly a cannibal if she's even a human in the first place." Bruce frowned deeper somehow but not quite the legendary bat glare.
He almost sighed at the brand new headache. His body was tired and unfortunately, he and Alfred had both been unlucky enough to be born without a quirk or mutation to aid in such an issue.
Instead, Bruce had to content himself with the internal circulation of his own chi. Unfortunately, he had never learned how to use it externally as he never fully finished his training with the league. Nor did he get the chance to travel to K'un-Lun as he had planned.
Instead, he was here dealing with another new threat in Gotham. More than that there was no Robin to help him this time, Dick had quit being Robin and left for Bludhaven after their last fight. Leaving just Bruce and Barbra in the field. The girl was smart and had heart but she wasn't the naturally talented fighter his adopted son was.
And if this meta-human child was of a similar tier of strength to Poison Ivy with his Chlorokinesis then the fight might be intense. Not to mention his shapeshifting flesh-eating partner who had currently shown no limits to her morphing.
They studied the video for a few more minutes before Bruce sent it over to Batgirl and the two of them began to create a file on the new meta in the city. After about another hour of late-night activities Barbra and Alfred had practically forced Bruce to leave the cave and get some sleep.
Thoughts of the white-haired boy lingered in Bruce's mind as he slipped into bed. Whoever he was Bruce would have to worry about it later he had a meeting with the Justice League tomorrow that he needed to prepare for.

[ Location: Gotham City, New Jersey, Gotham City Orphanage ]
"Sorry, Jason," Kai said brushing past the older boy.
"Yeah, whatever, just watch where you're going next time," Jason said dismissively as he kept walking down the slightly crowded hallway of the orphanage.
He quickly made his way to his room before closing the wooden door behind him.
"I'm back!" he called out to his potted plant.
Flowy the sunflower sat perfectly still in his favorite spot by the windowsill, his charming yellow flowers facing towards the sun.
Kai walked towards his bed flopping down face-first in order to release the day's exhaustion.
"I missed you most Bed-chan." He said groaning into the pillows as he shifted around on his pillow. He lay there face down for about a minute before turning over and looking at his potted plants.
"Right right I'll tell you all about what happened in just a moment but let me check the system first. Oh yeah, I unlocked it by the way."
Flowy seemed to almost tilt in a way that screamed 'I told you so!' energy.
"Yeah yeah you were right now will you please give me a moment. Kai sighed, deactivating his Bloom ability and opening the system window. He'd been too busy cleaning up all the blood off his clothes and trying to get out of there before the police could arrive to check it fully.
[Congratulations host! You have unlocked the Chaos Gatcha system!]
[Reward: x3 Random Gatcha Tickets]
[Congradulations! You have killed your first human!]
[Reward: x1 Golden Gatcha Ticket]
[Congratulations! You have killed an adult while still being a child!]
[Reward: x1 Golden Gatcha ticket]
[Congratulations! You have killed a serial killer!]
[Reward: x2 Silver Gacha Tickets]
I looked at the hall of tickets and grinned. I was most interested in the random tickets. Unlike other tickets, random tickets didn't abide by rating levels. He could get anything from a divine-tier roll to something completely trash.
Kai decided it would be best to just do the three random pulls for now and started mentally tearing the rainbow colored tickets as they manifested in front of him.
[Thermal Vision]
Trash Ability
[Allows you to switch your vision to a perfectly accurate thermal vision, allowing you to see heat signatures while not impairing your regular vision.]
His first role gave him a trash-tier ability which somewhat frustrated him but from what he could tell it actually wasn't that useless. At least he would have a harder time getting caught off guard this way.
"Shit!" He grimaced and pulled the second ticket before tearing it in half.
[Expert Persuasion]
Elite Skill
[You are an expert in the art of Persuasion, having a great feel for what words are more effective on what types of people, being able to far more easily sway them with your words and actions. You are skilled enough to persuade people to do things they would otherwise not be willing to do.]
"Okay not bad! Not bad at all! But I need something a little better. Hopefully something more combat-oriented." He took a deep breath and tore the third ticket.
[Poison Factory]
Elite Ability
[Allows you to design, concoct, and expel any poison from your body, also rendering you resistant to poison. You can also use this ability in conjunction with other abilities to make more esoteric poisons. Overuse of poison factory can cause nausea and sickness.]
"Yes! Let's go!" Kairo pumped his fist into the air. He'd been a little desperate at first considering that Bloom had been his most powerful pull so far, but a poison factory in place like Gotham was practically a treasure trove of powers. Not to mention all the different poisons and gases from all the other universes mixed into this one.
He stared at the Gatcha window and the few extra tickets he had waiting there. He struggled with himself before ultimately giving in and deciding to pull the rest of the tickets.
"Ah, what the hell why not?"
He started with the two silver tickets.
[Cloranthy Ring]
Uncommon Item
[Dark Souls - This ancient ring, engraved with a large green flower, is of unknown origin. Hastens the regeneration of stamina and recovery from exhaustion.]
[Inventory]
Rare Ability
[You have access to an inventory subspace that you can store inanimate targets inside in a static state. By default, you can store 100 tons inside of it, the maximum weight of what your inventory can hold scales with your physical stats. To store something inside the inventory you must will it inside while touching the target. Any stored target can be taken out of storage within a distance of at most 1 meter from your body.]
"Whoa, okay that's pretty good, but why are all my powers plant-themed? At this I'm just going to end up a Poison Ivy rip-off" He said before shaking his head free of plant-themed thoughts. He could worry about his image later and instead stared down at the emerald green ring on his finger.
He tried summoning and desummoning the ring in and out of his inventory which worked like a charm. Then an idea occurred to him. What if he made it look like his plant-based powers came from the ring instead of himself? Then if someone ever got it away from him he could pretend that he didn't have his plant powers only to trick them.
He nodded at his idea before looking back at the system window and pulling out the golden tickets. He practically salivated at the prospect of tearing it already eager to see what kind of rewards awaited him. He pulled the first one apart swiftly losing his patience.
[Anti Gravity]
Elite Ability
[Allows you to remove the influence of gravity on a target or an area in your field of vision, making them act as if they were placed in a zero-gravity environment. Or invert Gravity entirely and amplify it to send targets hurling into the sky.]
"Hmm not bad, the dicription is kinda vague though I'll definitely need to play around with it ahem I mean test out its limitations." He cleared his throat nodding sagely at his great idea. The main wonder was if he could fly using it, if so then he considered it an excellent pull, but if not then it was just half decent.
Opening them he pulled out the last golden ticket, hoping, almost praying for something good. Mainly he was hoping for something to enhance his body and give him super strength or something.
He pulled the card delicately in half, licking his lips and staring anxiously waiting for what he would get. As the ticket tore and the spinning wheel of the system window slowed he closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and looked at the results of his final ticket pull.
[Sonic Blast]
Uncommon Ability
[Allows you to amplify all noises you create, they can get so loud that they can crack objects, rupture eardrums, and deafen opponents.]
He stared at it for a moment before bursting out into excited laughter. He was so joyful he shot up from his bed and started dancing around his room like an overly excited monkey on enough cocaine to knock out an elephant.
"BITCH I'M WHITE BEARD!" He shouted excitedly.
"THE ONE PIECE! THE ONE PIECE IS REEEEAAAAALLLLL!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. He danced around as Mimi leaped into his arms in cat form. Simply happy because he was happy.
He held her up spinning her around in his arms as they celebrated.
Then an angry motherly voice came from beyond his door.
"OI KEEP THE GOD DAMN NOISE DOWN OTHERS ARE TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!"
"Sorry, Mama Matron I'll try to keep it down!"

So what did you guys think of today's chapter? I tried to make Bruce's POV seem realistic for a Batman in this type of universe. Someone unlucky enough not to be born with all the natural advantages some people have, well-trained despite that, and smart enough to figure out there's a duo going out and luring criminals for one of them to eat.
Also, I'm considering whether or not Kai should have plot armor. I don't want the story to end so quickly but if there's no risk of death then I don't see the fun in any of it.
So I'm thinking past chapter 30 or 20 maybe he should have no plot armor which means he can die if I think he would in that situation. After all half the fun of this story comes with gambling with life and death.
But also I'm not totally sure if his death if that does happen should be the end of the story. Let me know what you guys think about that.
Also, let me know if you guys think I'm under or over-rewarding him I don't want the system to seem too OP but not weak either I want to strike a proper balance.
Lastly, what do you guys think his mutant ability should be? I'm not sure what I want for him at first I thought his ability should be the system itself but I ended up deciding against that. I've also decided that it should be omega level but he obviously hasn't awakened it yet so maybe leave some suggestions for what you would like it to be.
Anyway bye guys see you next time. 👋
