The clearing was suffocating. A fierce, malevolent chakra had suddenly engulfed the area, heavy enough to make the air itself feel toxic. It had only been a few moments since Uchiha Sasuke awakened, but the entire dynamic of the battlefield had completely reversed.
But now The witnesses present were about to see a very different kind of brutality.
*Crack*
"AARGHHHH...!!!"
In the blink of an eye, Sasuke snapped Zaku's arms. But it wasn't just the sheer speed or power that terrified everyone—it was the sadistic smirk plastered across Sasuke's face. He was actually taking pleasure in the sickening crunch of bone.
(That is the Curse Mark,) Dosu realized, his blood running cold. As the Sound Team leader carrying out Orochimaru's direct orders, he was the most horrified of all.
Watching the jagged black marks engulf Sasuke's skin and feeling the sheer density of his new strength made Dosu aggressively rethink his life choices especially since he knew cursed marks nature .
( If the cursed mark goes out of Control , THen we may all di------)
"Now, you're the only one left," Sasuke purred. He didn't give Dosu a second to process, slowly turning his head to lock eyes with the Sound ninja. His Sharingan was spinning manically.
"You... Make it a little more fun for me, eh?"
Watching Sasuke advance with those slow, deliberate steps sent Dosu's mind into a tailspin of terror.
"S-STOP...!!!"
But the tension wasn't broken by a clash of kunai or sounds of bones . It shattered with a desperate scream. Sakura sprinted forward, throwing her arms around Sasuke from behind, burying her face in his back. She knew, down to her bones, that the boy standing in front of her wasn't himself anymore. He was mutating into a monster.
"Please..... please.. stop.. Sasuke-kun.. please come back!" she sobbed.
While everyone was shocked at The pink Genins Guts , and were waiting for Sasuke's response ,
Miraculously, it worked. The Genins watched in stunned silence as the jagged black marks slowly receded back into Sasuke's skin, and the suffocating chakra faded into the morning air.
( It receded .......so easily ?? I thought the Uchiha Lost it )
Dosu felt shocked again as Everyone exhaled a breath they didn't realize they were holding. The Genins, the hidden Jonin observers. and a certain blonde Shadow Clone perched high in the canopy.
( It's confirmed ......Sasuke was marked by the snake )
Naruto's shadow clone watched the entire tragedy play out without lifting a finger. It was frustrating. Without the original's Kagura's Mind Eye or sensory abilities, the clone had no idea when or how Orochimaru had slipped past everyone to reach Sasuke.
It had only realized things had gone sideways when Sakura emerged from the cave alone, and the little hint when Sound Genin pinpointed their exact location easily .
Watching the events unfold exactly as they were "supposed" to made the clone grind its teeth.
(..Is this Fate?) While the Jonin observers were merely confused by the sudden power spike or sasuke's abnormility, the clone understood the grim reality.
Somehow, Orochimaru hadn't just survived the original Naruto's brutal, flawless ambush; he had managed to sneak back and plant the Curse Mark on Sasuke the very same night, completely undetected.
(........The Original is not going to be happy about this.)
Looking down, the clone watched Dosu hastily toss their earth scroll at Sasuke's feet before bolting into the trees. Soon after, Neji and Tenten emerged from the Tree , approaching the battered Lee and the rest of Team 7.
At first, the clone had been ready to jump in and play hero. But it had held back, deciding it was necessary for Sakura to face the reality of the shinobi world—to force her to grow.
(..At least Sakura should have woken up to reality now......... Probably.)
As for Sasuke? Now that the Uchiha was officially marked, the clone felt a massive headache coming on, though it was slightly relieved the immediate danger was over.
Suddenly The clone's thoughts were interrupted by Tenten's voice drifting up from the clearing.
"Even if your teammate isn't here, couldn't you just use those blades to call him?" Tenten asked, gesturing around.
"A blade? " Sakura asked in confusion
" I mean those Reinforcement Seal blades. That blonde guy gave one to Lee yesterday. Don't tell me he didn't give one to you guys? His own team?"
The clone paused, watching the scene below. Sakura looked absolutely bewildered, and then utterly embarrassed. Sasuke turned to look at her, his eyes filled with a very different, much colder kind of realization and bewilderment full of disappoitment .
( Sakura ......you are really hopeless ) Sasuke
(..That Pinky must have completely forgotten about the blade because she was panicking over Sasuke.) Shadow Clone
It wasn't just the clone who connected the dots. Sasuke instantly understood why she hadn't called for backup.
Realizing they had been sitting on a panic button for hours while he was unconscious and she was getting beaten to a pulp but never remembering the blade that can summon Naruto .
And When Sasuke remmbered how he was marked in middle of the night , and now it's already morning , whatever goodwill Sasuke had felt toward her evaporated.

Sakura's bruised, swollen face burned hot pink with shame. She knew she could have called Naruto hours ago. In a panic, she frantically dug the blade out of her pouch, but before she could even channel chakra into it—
Thud. Thump. Thud.
The wind picked up. The trees rattled, stones bounced off the dirt, and the earth itself began to vibrate. The Genins instantly dropped into combat stances, Sasuke and Neji taking the frontline.
(It's one thing after another,) Sasuke grunted internally.
(What the—) Neji narrowed his eyes.
(...Something big is coming,) Lee thought, struggling to stay conscious while still laying on the ground
(Damn it, let's just grab Lee and leave, Neji,) Tenten reasoned while getting closed to Lee
( .........I shouldn't have partcipated in chunin exams ) Sakura panicekd , One threat after another almost made the girl taste despair
Suddenly, a massive tree was swatted aside like a twig. A gigantic, 3.5-meter-tall bear burst into the clearing on all fours . Seeing the Genins, the beast reared up on its hind legs and stood tall , looking like a furry behemoth of destruction, and let out a deafening roar.
"ROARRRRRR!"
Everyone's ears rang. Sweat beaded on their foreheads as they braced for impact. But the moment the roar ended, a familiar, voice echoed from above.
"Alright, Po.. calm down, buddy. They're friends."
Hearing his voice though , Sasuke and Sakura nearly collapsed in relief.
(...Just where the hell did he find a bear?) Sasuke wondered.
(...It's Naruto. Thank God,) Sakura thought, near tears.
The massive bear instantly dropped back to all fours, looking docile. The Genins blinked in disbelief as a blonde boy casually hopped down from the bear's back. Between their sheer panic and the size of the beast, they hadn't even noticed the Genin riding it.
"Hey guys, how you doin—whoa....... What happened to you guys? Are you okay?"
Naruto landed with a grin that instantly died in his throat. He looked at Sakura's swollen, pig-like face, Lee lying facedown in the dirt, and Sasuke clutching his shoulder, looking like he just survived from some war .
(.....What the hell? I didn't even notice Neji and the others' chakra on the way here...they don't look like they were fighting each other..... Don't tell me...)
"NARUTO...!!! YOU'RE LATE!" Sakura shrieked, a messy mix of blame and overwhelming relief in her voice.
Naruto snapped out of his daze. "Sorry, Sakura..!! Things happened. But I came back as fast as I could! See? It's daybreak!"
"You're still late!"
"Sorry, sorry. Can you tell me what happened? Also, let me heal you guys."
"..Wait. Heal Lee-san first," Sakura demanded softly.
"Huh?"
"Come on."
"Alright. Let's head back to the cave. You can tell me everything while I work."
The Genins gathered around the mouth of the cave. While Naruto pushed healing chakra into Lee's battered body, Sakura recounted the nightmare of the past few hours. It wasn't just Sasuke listening; Lee, Neji, and Tenten were all leaning in, extremely curious about the Sound Genins' abilities that made lee lose .
While Sakura talked, Naruto used his MindHub skill to multitask. On the outside, he was nodding and healing.
While lostening , Discreetly , Naruto made a single, subtle hand sign.
Poof. His shadow clone dispersed from the canopy above, and a flood of memories rushed into Naruto's brain. with all the memories and also the Conjunctures of the clone too .
(..So all that struggle... All those sleepless night , Training , planning & ambush , all those S-rank jutsu were for nothing ?? )
A deep, suffocating bitterness bloomed in Naruto's chest. His own hidden wounds ached as he bit the inside of his cheek. It felt like every ounce of effort, every drop of blood he had spilled to protect his team, was utterly meaningless.
( ...... I took his head off ,cutted off his hands , blasted his chest open and even burned him to ash..... But I couldn't even stop the snake for twenty-four hours.)
Naruto had known about the Curse Mark. He had prepared for the possibility of failure.
But he truly believed his drastic actions would have some impact on the timeline. Yet, looking at Sasuke clutching his marked shoulder, the reality of the situation crashed down on him.

Helplessness washed over him. The snake had still marked Sasuke on the exact same night, completely unbothered. Seeing Orochimaru's terrifying resilience was a brutal wake-up call to the reality of this world. His heart hammered against his ribs.
(Yeah...... things don't go easily in this cursed world.... As for Orochimaru... I either need God-tier sealing jutsu, or..... Reaper death seal Or a way to kill soul ?? )
Suddenly naruto remembered his other S-rank jutsu, the one that dealt directly with souls.
(But... the risk is way too high. Sending my soul into someone else's domain..and body ..... especially a freak like Orochimaru. ......too risky )
"What about you, Naruto?" Sakura's voice cut through his dark thoughts.
"Huh?"
"She's asking what happened on your side," Tenten chimed in, eyeing the giant ball of fur outside. "And what's the deal with the bear?"
Naruto blinked, seamlessly shifting his demeanor back to his casual, bright self. "Oh, it was Karin's team. They asked for help because they were getting ambushed by that guy." He pointed a thumb at Po.
"Ehh? So that bear...?"
"Yep. Well, I fought him, beat him, and made him my son."
"HAA?!" all five Genins yelled in unison.
"Ahem. I mean, I made him my Summoning Beast."
Everyone slowly turned their heads to look at the massive bear, who was currently lying flat on his belly near the cave entrance, looking like a gigantic, fluffy guardian rug.
"Well.. he looks kind of cute," Tenten admitted.
"Right. Like a giant fluff ball. A teddy," Sakura agreed.
Naruto grinned. "Haha, His name is Po! And Not only he is cute , he is also very strong...!! "
Neji, who had been standing with his arms crossed, let out a loud, arrogant snort. "Hmph. It's just a lowly, dumb beast. How strong could it possibly be?"
( especially since even a Genin like him can subdue it ) Neji
Naruto's eyes twitched , But soon A mischievous glint flashed in his blue eyes.
"Hoo? Is that so? Then how about Hyuga-sama spars with that 'dumb beast,' huh? Prove your absolute superiority to us peasants."
"Hmph. Like I don't have better things to do," Neji scoffed, tossing his hair. "Why would I do a thankless task like that in the middle of the Chunin Exams?"
"Eh, is that so? Then how about..... a scroll for the spar?"
Tenten sweatdropped. "Wait, guys, don't be like that! Neji was just joking—"
"..Naruto," Sakura warned afraid of a fight with Lee's team, especailly since Lee helped her just now
Naruto looked back at the girls and waved his hand dismissively. "It's not like that, Tenten. Actually, our team already has both our scrolls. The one I'm talking about is the Earth scroll the Sound Genin left behind."
"Eh? Really?"
"Yep. Lee put his life on the line to help our team..... It's only natural to thank you guys. Spar or not, please accept the scroll as Team 7's thanks."
Naruto turned his head, looking at Sasuke and Sakura, asking for their silent approval with his eyes . Sasuke grunted, averting his eyes, but nodded once. Sakura nodded firmly too.
Naruto noticed a subtle, massive shift though
(Hoh. This time, Sakura didn't look at Sasuke for permission before agreeing.)
Proud of his team's quiet growth, Naruto looked back at Team Guy.
"So, how about it? As for the spar.... well, if the 'Supreme Genius' is too scared to face a lowly beast, no problem. Just take the scroll and we'll call it even."
While Naruto was thrilled with Team 7, Team Guy was put in a very awkward spot. The truth was, they still needed an Earth scroll. But taking it felt wrong, considering only Lee had fought while Neji and Tenten had been late to the party or were just spectators .
But Naruto had pressed the exact right buttons and also gave another way put for the Hyuga .
and just as planned , Neji's pride flared.
"Alright," Neji stepped forward, his pale eyes narrowing. "I will fight this beast, win, and take that scroll as my victory trophy."
Neji confidently marched out into the clearing. Naruto and the others followed. Lee, now sufficiently patched up by Naruto ( no broken bones, just deep bruising and fatigue), hobbled along to watch.
"Should I heal you first, Sakura, before the spar? or it's Ok " Naruto asked.
"..It's okay, it's not urgent. What about Lee-san?"
Lee burst into anime tears. "Oh! Sakura-san! You are worried about me?! UWAHHHHH!"
Naruto ignored Lee entirely and kept walking. "Nothing Major , Just Bruises and other normal stuff ..... No worries though. Alright... PO!!! Get over here!"
The massive bear lumbered into the center of the clearing. Seeing the hulking, muscle-bound beast up close made the other Genins sweat buckets. Even Neji felt a twinge of apprehension, though he quickly squashed it.
(...If an Genin like him can subdue this beast, then it's definitely weaker than it looks,) Neji rationalized as he caalculated Naruto as a sligtly stronger But still a Genin , someone who maybe stronger than him but not too much .
( Everyone know Killing is easy ,Subduing a beast is harder ......shouldn't be a problem ) Neji analysed
Naruto jogged up to Po, whispered something in the bear's ear, and then backed away, joining the rest of the peanut gallery on the sidelines.
With a one-handed sign, Naruto popped a shadow clone into existence. The clone strutted into the middle of the clearing like a Boxing referee.
"ALRIGHT!" the clone bellowed. "This is the battle to determine the superiority between Man and Beast!... With the grand prize being the Earth scroll for the Second Test of the Chunin Exams!"
"..." The five Genins stared in deadpan silence.
"In the Red Corner, we have our very own Big Teddy and Super Cutie.. PO....!"
"Roar," Po grunted lazily.
"And in the Blue Corner! We have the Supreme Genius of the Hyuga Clan! The Man, the Myth, the Legend.. The guy who always looks like he has CONSTIPATION...!!! Please give a round of applause for the one and only.. HYUGAAAAA NEJI!"

A lonely breeze blew through the clearing in the silence even lee was silent in shock .
Everyone except Lee felt violent eye twitches. Sasuke, who had initially been curious to see Neji's and the bear's strength, slowly dragged a hand down his face.
(Here we go again.. sigh,) Sasuke groaned internally at Naruto's antics
Lee, however, was practically vibrating after the silence "OHHH! Such hot-bloodedness from Neji and Po-kun! AARRGH! Why can't I fight?! Naruto-kun, please heal me faster!........let's burn out youth Hotter "
Looking at Naruto which she considered Handsome and Normal Guy from the previous interactions , Ten-Ten blinked and leaned over to Sakura, looking exhausted. "Is this how ...he always is?"
Hearing TenTen , Sakura Hesitated but remembering Naruto and the last months as Team 7 , Sakura's shoulders sagged
"...Sigh... Naruto is.. well, he's reliable when it counts, but.. *sigh* " Sakura muttered.
Seeing Sakura's drained expression, Tenten felt a Resonant camaraderie with her. Being the only normal girl on a team with Might Guy, Rock Lee, and Neji was a nightmare. and Now Seeing Sakura , TenTen felt seeing herself
"Let's just do our best to survive them," Tenten whispered softly.
Sakura felt like she had finally found a kindred spirit. "Yeah."
Meanwhile, Neji was ready, actively ignoring the fact that his eye was twitching from the introduction. The veins around his temples bulged as his Byakugan flared to life. He dropped into the classic Gentle Fist stance.
(Hmph. I'll just kite around the beast with my superior speed, use the Gentle Fist to paralyze its chakra network, and destroy it from the inside........ An easy win.)
Neji was sweating slightly, but his confidence was absolute. Something that massive had to be slow. Today was just another day to prove his genius, and to put that obnoxious blonde in his place.
He didn't even care about the scroll anymore; it was about the principle and to take back the interest from the first day of Chunin exams .
"Alright then!" the clone yelled, raising a hand. "3.. 2.. 1... BEGIN!"
Neji blurred into motion, circling the bear with incredible speed. Just as he expected, Po just stood there on all fours, looking completely dumbfounded. Seeing the opening, Neji moved in for a furious finish.
"EIGHT TRIGRAMS: SIXTY-FOUR PALMS!"
Neji darted into the beast's blind spot—or rather, its un-focused and Blind side—and struck.
"TWO PALMS!"
"FOUR PALMS!"
"EIGHT PALMS!"
"SIXTEEN PALMS!"
"THIR—!"
SMACK.
BOOM.
The Genins didn't even see the bear move. Lee's cheering froze. Sakura and Tenten's jaws hit the floor.
And Sasuke's Sharingan widened in shock.
( What the---?? My sharingan only saw a blur )
Hyuga Neji, the absolute strongest genius of his generation, flew through the air like a discarded ragdoll and kissed a nearby tree trunk with such intense love that not just his lips but his whole face left his proof of love on the truck .
Neji slowly slid down from the Trunk in a cartoonish way , and Naruto also saw the proof of love.
( How Romantic )
Po looked over at Neji's crumpled form with slight reluctance. The little human's massage had felt really nice, but his new Papa's orders were absolute and Po was a good son.
"NEJI...!!!"
Tenten sprinted after Neji , the rest of the Genins quickly following. When they reached the Hyuga, they all simultaneously realized something .
"Oh. He fainted," Naruto observed cheerfully.
"NEJI!" Tenten cried.
"..Are you serious?" Sasuke muttered.
"Neji! My rival.. how?!" Lee gasped.
(That bear was way too fast. Even my Sharingan barely caught a blur,) Sasuke realized again , a cold sweat breaking out on his neck.
The next hours were spent back at the cave. While Naruto continued meticulously healing Lee and Sakura, Neji finally regained consciousness.
The Hyuga was completely pale. The veins bulging around his Byakugan pulsed with a sheer, unadulterated fury that made it look like the bear had personally murdered his father.
Naturally, Neji attacked again.
Smack.
BOOM.
Naruto didn't even bother looking up at the sound.
Since the Hyuga woke up, Neji challenged Po again And again.
And again. And every single time, he was swatted like a nuisance. The core issue was that the Gentle Fist was entirely useless against a beast with Po's biology, as for the internal destruction , Neji was not profienient enough in Gentle fist to even pierce Po's Thick hide and the basic academy jutsu were usless against Po's senses too .
( *Sigh* Kiting Po is till managable ....But Neji wants to defeat him in close combat .......fat chance )
Even a Jonin would choose to fight Po from a long distance.
But Neji was stubborn.
"Get up, you beast! FIGHT ME!" Neji screamed from the dirt.
Naruto finished healing Sakura's face and glanced over. Po was currently lying on his back, yawning lazily like a salted fish. He had gotten bored of swatting the screaming human mosquito. The mosquito couldn't even pierce his skin.
Now the bear just wanted the human to go back to giving him that weird, pokey massage while lying down and relaxing .
Watching Neji scream at the yawning bear, Naruto chuckled.
( Neji is just giving Po a deep-tissue massage.........that makes the bear sleepy )
Shaking his head, Naruto looked down at Sakura. To fix her swollen face, he had simply had her lay her head on his lap. It was the easiest angle.
Naturally, Sakura's newly-healed face was currently burning a bright, tomato red from sheer embarrassment.
(..It's way too fun to tease them ) Naruto thought with an internal smirk.
Then He gently patted her wide forehead. "Alright. All done."
Sakura scrambled off his lap and practically sprinted away like a frightened puppy, hiding behind Tenten.
Naruto laughed and turned to the last patient. "Alright, Sasuke. Your turn. Let me see that shoulder."
"..No need," Sasuke muttered, looking away.
"Hmm? What?"
"I said, no need. It's just a bruise. It's nothing." Sasuke gripped his collar tighter, hiding the Curse Mark.
"...Sasu—"
"I can handle it! Naruto, I'm fine."
Naruto stared at him for a long second. "..Fine. Just don't hold the team back."
"Grrr."
Leaving the edgy Uchiha to his brooding, Naruto stood up and walked toward Neji, clapping his hands loudly to get everyone's attention. Sasuke and Sakura flanked him.
"You beast! I'm telling you, get up this instant or I will—!" Neji was still yelling at Po.
"...Hey guys," Naruto called out.
"..Tch," Neji scoffed, finally turning away from the bear , Because of his pride and honor , Neji still refused to strike an opponent who didn't want to fight but It didn't mean He was happy at the toatal disregard from the lowly Beast .
"Oh, Naruto-kun! Can I fight Po-kun next? Please! Let me burn my youth against Po-san!" Lee begged.
"Shut up, Lee! We are still in the middle of an exam!" Tenten scolded.
Once everyone was listening, Naruto dropped his casual demeanor and got down to business. "Actually, I have a proposal for your team."
"A proposal?" Neji asked, crossing his arms as the team leader.
"Our team has both our scrolls now," Naruto explained. "And we've built up some basic trust here, thanks to Lee stepping in to help, and me patching you guys up. So, I'm proposing we ally with each other until we reach the central tower."
"..." Neji and Sasuke both narrowed their eyes.
"You mean.. we travel together and watch each other's backs until we get to the end?" Tenten asked, looking relieved.
"OHHH! Subarashi, Naruto-kun! Let us go and burn our youth together, side by side!" Lee cheered, tears streaming down his face again.
While Tenten, Lee, and Sakura were completely on board, the two edge-lords were decidedly not.
"Hnn. Why ally? We can get there perfectly fine on our own," Sasuke scoffed.
"Exactly. Our team is more than strong enough," Neji agreed, refusing to look at the bear.
Naruto shook his head, a manipulative glint returning to his eyes. "Think about it. Only half the teams can qualify. I am absolutely certain that the teams who haven't collected their scrolls yet are currently setting up massive ambushes right outside the central tower."
"..." Sasuke and Neji went dead silent. The gears in their heads started turning.
" *Gasp* Really?" Sakura asked, horrified.
"Wait.. if everyone goes to the center, there might be multiple teams ambushing at the exact same time," Tenten realized, doing the math.
"Oh..! So many strong opponents!" Lee beamed.
"Shut up, Lee! Stop talking nonsense when you just got your butt thoroughly kicked!" Tenten snapped.
"..*Gahh*..! My heart... Tenten..." Lee wilted and clutched his chest
"So the danger near the tower is going to be even worse than anywhere else in the forest," Sakura concluded, swallowing hard.
Naruto nodded at the girls , the only people with normal thinking .
Truthfully, with his strength, he didn't need their protection at all. But he was playing the role of the perfect Will of Fire inheritor, and keeping them close was the best tactical move.
( There is also that ...!! )
Seeing Neji and Sasuke still hesitating, Naruto drove the final, brutal nail into the coffin.
"Also.. there's a very high chance there are more beasts exactly like Po roaming around the tower. Don't forget, there's a reason they call this place the Forest of Death."
Everyone slowly turned to look at Po, who was currently asleep, loudly scratching his belly.
(A beast like that.. something that can swat Neji like a literal fly..and there might be MORE of them?)
Except for Lee, every single Genin felt a violent shiver run down their spine. All resistance instantly crumbled.
But Neji was too embarrassed to backpedal, and Sasuke was too proud to admit he wanted the bear on their side and also others too , Seeing this Naruto mercifully broke the silence.
"Alright, it seems we're in agreement...... Let's pack up and leave in thirty minutes as fellow shinobi of the Leaf."
Naruto turned and walked back into the cave, giving the edge-lords space to pretend it was their idea or Naruto's stubbornness and a collective team decision.
(Let's just get to the tower as fast as possible,) Naruto thought, his expression turning serious once his back was turned.
(I really, really don't want to run into Kabuto while My Hand is broken )
With Kabuto's spy-tier stalking and Orochimaru potentially ordering a secondary ambush, the only guaranteed way Naruto could protect the team without exposing his Flying Thunder God jutsu (Hiraishin) was to move in a massive, heavily armed group.
If Possible Naruto really didn't want to expose Hiraishin or gamble on kabuto's behaviour that may deviate from the original .
( It's Chunin Exams , Even If Kanbuto strikes , It can still be under excuse of getting Scrolls ......... No need to take chances and Expose My Trumph Hiraishin )
Plus, Lee had put his life on the line for Sakura. Having seen the clone's memories of Lee getting brutally beaten while Sakura watched helplessly , Naruto felt a genuine obligation to the Green Beast .
Not just to repay a favor, but as a friend too .

Naruto pulled out his stopwatch from his pouch and checked the time.
( Near 8:00 AM. We still have 26 hours to reach the central tower.)

And So Before 3 Pm , The Genins Reached the central tower with 19 hours before Time-limit .

at first I wanted everything to be same but then things will not be interesting ,

Somehow This chapter stretched till 4500+ Words .
At first I wanted to cut it in half and post two chapters , but then , there was hardly any content worth that could make two chapters too .
