I heard a song over the night air. It was unlike anything I ever heard. It pulled me from sleep along with the whole ship. I am currently interning on a research ship around the Cape of Good Hope.
I'm living my dream of becoming Marine biologist and being able to study cryptids and mythical beings. During my time on this ship, I have seen glimpses of the otherworldly things.
A few nights ago, one of our interns went missing. Every one searched for him. The only thing we found was the clothes he'd been wearing, his lab coat and his phone.
No one wanted to say what they thought.
The second thing was music being heard.We are in the middle of the ocean, with no land in sight, so who was playing music? I went up on the deck to see if we were being punked.
No one was there, but the music, it was clearly being played. It sounded like it was coming from the right side of the ship. I had seen dolphins swimming around the ship, and hopping out of the water. This was not typical behavior.
I've only seen them do this before the full moon. Today the dolphins were gone. There was no music but the voice we all heard singing.
Most of the ship was out on the deck. The men were acting like they were dazed.they stood on the deck, slowly swaying to the song being sung.
I walked in between the guys, watching their faces, and their mannerisms. Their pupils were dilated as if they had something in their systems. I got to the left side of the ship and that was when I saw her.
