Chapter 188 - Chapter 188 I have a dog named Taromaru

By the time Makoto woke up, only he and the Little Cuties were left in the room.

Raiden Makoto had left at some unknown time, not disturbing Makoto's rest, choosing to leave him a note instead.

The note informed Makoto that she had already returned to the Plane of Euthymia.

It also said that today's outing was very interesting and she looked forward to meeting again tomorrow.

The Little Ones had also woken up early, but were afraid of disturbing Makoto's rest, so they didn't make a sound.

They all lay quietly beside Makoto, their large eyes blinking as they watched him.

Seeing Makoto wake up, the Little Cuties finally gathered around him.

Makoto looked out the window and saw that the sun had already set, so it must be late.

The little girls, with hungry stomachs, waited quietly for Makoto to get up; they were truly sensible.

In response, Makoto smiled and said, "little girls, let's go eat dinner."

He led the Little Ones out of the small dark room and ran into the female editor.

From the editor, he learned that Yae Miko had already left.

However, before leaving, Yae Miko had instructed the editors to buy dinner for Makoto and the others.

The editor was currently delivering food to Makoto and his group.

Makoto did not stand on ceremony with Yae Miko and took the children to eat dinner.

Considering that Makoto and the others were visiting Inazuma for the first time, Yae Miko had ordered all Inazuma specialty dishes for dinner.

This allowed the Little Ones to feast to their hearts' content; after eating, their little bellies were all bulging, and they asked Makoto to rub them.

After finishing dinner at Yae Publishing House, Makoto took the children back to the Kamisato Family.

Time quickly reached late night.

The entire Kamisato Family was immersed in silence, with only the occasional flickering of candlelight outside the house.

After the Little Ones had all fallen asleep, Makoto took out the spirit inducing lamp from his backpack and placed it on the table.

Lighting the spirit inducing lamp is somewhat similar to doing daily commissions.

Completing one commission grants one intertwined fate.

Sometimes, one can also gain unexpected rewards, so this lamp is quite appealing.

As Makoto lit the spirit inducing lamp, a soft, comfortable, warm yellow light filled the entire room.

Before long, a figure slowly condensed in front of Makoto.

It was an old man with sparse hair, his back hunched, leaning on a walking stick.

He had a cheerful smile on his face, no different from an old man strolling in the park on a normal day.

The old man scratched his head and said apologetically, "Hello, sir, I am so sorry to disturb your rest so late."

"The reason I came here is because a voice told me that perhaps someone could help me fulfill my wish."

"Sir, are you willing to help me?"

The old man looked somewhat nervous and uneasy, but more than that, he was hopeful.

Upon hearing this, Makoto nodded gently: "Old sir, feel free to tell me any unfulfilled wishes you have; I will do my best to help you fulfill them."

Hearing Makoto agree, the old man looked very happy, and his cloudy eyes also became a little clearer.

He bowed deeply to Makoto, then earnestly said, "I want to ask you, sir, to take care of Taroumaru on my behalf."

Upon hearing the name Taroumaru, Makoto subconsciously said, "Taroumaru, why does that name sound a bit familiar?"

The old man scratched his head and said with a chuckle, "Is that so? Perhaps the name Taroumaru is quite common; I'm really not good at naming things."

Makoto looked at the old man and casually asked, "Old sir, Taroumaru must be very important to you, right?"

Makoto had already completed several spirit inducing lamp commissions.

The ghosts he encountered included those worried about their children, and those worried about their loved ones.

Because they couldn't let go in life, they had very strong wishes.

Currently, the old man was worried about Taroumaru.

This indicates that the man and the dog shared a deep bond.

Upon hearing Makoto's words, the old man chuckled and said, "Yes, in a sense, Taroumaru is family to me."

His gaze drifted towards the moonlight outside the house, a benevolent smile on his face as he began to recall the past.

"The Taroumaru I'm talking about is a local Inazuma pet dog; he's already half a year old now."

"Actually, I never thought of having a pet initially."

"Because, in my opinion, taking care of myself was already exhausting enough, so how could I have the energy to take care of a pet?"

The old man paused, then said with a wry smile, "However, my children insisted on bringing Taroumaru to me."

"They saw that I was unwilling to leave the old house and were afraid I'd be too lonely alone, so they arranged for Taroumaru to keep me company."
