He quickly asked another question.
Matou Sakura hesitated for a moment, then said, "Would it be too inconvenient?"
"What inconvenience could there be? It's not like you've never stayed here before... and besides, you are a child of the Tohsaka family, aren't you?"
Just then, Tohsaka Rin happened to walk into the hall carrying tea and snacks.
She set down the refreshments, placed her hands on her younger sister's shoulders, and spoke in a gentle tone.
Matou Sakura hesitated for a moment, then silently glanced at the young man in front of her before saying softly, "But wouldn't you rather be alone with him, sis?"
"After all, you said before that you hoped to see him during the Holy Grail War—"
Rin's smile froze, and for an instant, a flash of panic crossed her face. She quickly interrupted, "Ahem! Anyway, you're staying here tonight. It's snowing so heavily outside, it wouldn't be safe for you to go home alone."
Matou Sakura had archery club activities, so she always came home a little later than usual. Normally that would be fine, but today was an exceptionally special day.
Although the Holy Grail War hadn't started yet, some Masters had already summoned their Servants early.
Letting her sister go home alone tonight made her uneasy.
Only then did Sakura softly murmur "Mm," and say quietly, "Then I'll be intruding for tonight."
Alvin glanced at Matou Sakura with some concern.
They were sisters, but for some reason, he always felt a certain distance between them. An inexplicable sense of separation.
Or rather, it felt like a distance between Matou Sakura and the Tohsaka family as a whole.
What was Tokiomi thinking? He already knew his daughter had childhood trauma regarding the Matou family, yet he still hadn't taken her back.
Of course, Alvin couldn't understand that for a magus like Tokiomi Tohsaka, reason always took precedence over emotion.
The Tohsaka family's Magic Crest could only be passed down to Tohsaka Rin as the eldest daughter. If Matou Sakura wanted to "succeed" in the future, she had to stay with the Matou family.
It just never occurred to Tokiomi Tohsaka how the person in question might feel about this arrangement.
Judging by this, Sakura clearly felt a significant rift with the Tohsaka family.
But as much as he thought about it, he didn't call it out.
After sitting in the hall and finishing tea and snacks with the two sisters, night had unknowingly fallen.
The late night was quiet, with heavy snow falling outside.
Alvin sat alone in the courtyard, resting with his eyes closed.
Since Servants didn't need rest, he hadn't gone to sleep, choosing instead to protect the two sisters through the night.
Then, he felt a faint tremor inside his body, as if resonating with something.
Alvin instinctively opened his eyes and saw a tiny insect, the size of a fingernail, flit across the snow in the courtyard ahead.
If it were just an ordinary bug, it wouldn't be worth noting, but this clearly wasn't a normal insect.
After all, insects rarely appeared in winter.
'This is...'
'A Crest Worm!'
Alvin slid open the door and quickly blurred into motion, reaching out to catch the Crest Worm as it darted past his vision.
Then, a puzzled look appeared on his face.
"How strange... This doesn't seem like the Crest Worms I've seen before."
When he had fought Matou Zouken in the past, he'd witnessed the structure of Crest Worms firsthand.
Yet this Crest Worm in his hand was clearly resonating with him!
Buzz!
Suddenly, the Crest Worm's body expanded, then rapidly burst apart, dissolving into a pool of black mud that trickled from Alvin's palm and stained the snow beneath it with a deep, profound black.
'Black mud?'
He was taken aback for a moment, then felt a creeping chill on his scalp.
No. What was inside that Crest Worm's body wasn't black mud, it was something even more "profound" than black mud.
'The Chaos Tide?'
'How did a Crest Worm get contaminated by the Chaos Tide?'
'And... what is this thing doing here?'
Just as this thought crossed his mind, his senses pricked. He sensed a presence approaching from behind and turned to look.
In the dim doorway of the hall, a girl stood there. She wore a white nightgown, had cherry-like lips, and her beautiful eyes were full of tenderness. Her skin, even in the gloom, looked so fair and delicate it seemed you could pinch water from it, soft and supple.
A girl dressed plainly, yet her remarkable figure was impossible to hide. The gentleness between her brows, paired with her delicate, fragile face, stirred an urge to cherish her deeply.
"Sakura?"
Alvin quickly rose, returned to the hall, and closed the door behind him, "Why are you awake? And without a jacket on, aren't you afraid of catching a cold?"
"Let's get you back to your room to rest first."
He draped his own garment over Matou Sakura and was about to escort her back to her room.
But the moment he reached out, Sakura had already taken the initiative and embraced him.
Her soft, warm, lovely body pressed tightly against the young man's chest, and a unique girlish fragrance rose from her nightgown, wafting into the air and lingering at the tip of his nose.
Alvin stood frozen, his body slightly stiff.
Tohsaka Rin was still asleep. If he ended up hugging and cuddling with her sister in the living room in the dead of night. Well, it would be fine if they weren't caught. But if they were, Alvin figured he'd have a real headache on his hands.
Sakura buried her face in the young man's chest and said softly, "I've always wanted to see you. I just never imagined you'd be manifested as another Master's Servant."
Alvin's hands hung in the air. After a moment, he gently placed one hand on Sakura's silky hair and stroked it softly.
"You really don't have to draw such a clear line between yourself and Rin, you know?"
"After all, no matter what, she's still your real sister."
A flicker of complexity crossed Sakura's eyes for just a moment. Her voice carried a hint of something unusual as she said softly, "It's still a little different..."
"I'm a child who grew up in the Matou family, while my sister grew up always by our mother's side."
For some reason, the usually radiant girl now seemed unusually subdued.
'She really does care about this, doesn't she,' Alvin looked at her silently and said, "But Rin has always seen you as her dearest, most precious sister."
"I know... My sister is a very good person. That's why I like her so much."
Before Alvin could respond, Sakura looked up at him, her gaze softening slightly, "But I also want to see Senpai all the time."
"If it weren't for you all these years, I probably couldn't have made it this far."
Because she had clung to the Holy Grail War ten years away as her emotional anchor, the girl had managed to grow up normally, even amid the anxiety of leaving the Tohsaka family or being "abandoned" by her parents.
Since Alvin had taken her in when she ran away from home back then, the girl firmly believed that as long as he was still there, she would never be alone.
He, and only he, would never abandon her.
"Tokiomi probably thought things through a lot," Alvin said.
"I know. I don't blame Father... I can more or less understand his thinking."
Sakura nestled in the young man's embrace, greedily breathing in the warmth of his body. Her eyes were filled with pure bliss, and her cheeks glowed with an intoxicating flush.
This warmth... It was exactly the same as his ten years ago. It made her feel so safe, so utterly immersed.
Except that compared to back then, she had become a little greedier now.
She didn't just want to hold him so simply... She wanted more, so much more.
She longed to be loved by him, longed for this once-innocent affection to warp and corrupt... and then to lose herself in his body.
Just thinking about it made her strangely excited.
"Will you hold me, Senpai?"
Sakura suddenly looked up and asked.
Alvin paused for a moment. Finally, he placed one hand on her soft, slender waist, letting the girl press closer against him.
Sakura wrapped her arms tightly around the young man. The pressure gradually intensified, as if she wished she and Alvin could fuse into a single being. Alvin could even feel the soft pressure of her two supple mounds against his chest.
His body stiffened slightly.
The Matou Sakura of today was completely different from the girl she'd been. Any normal person would have some reaction to being held like this... and he was no exception.
'Still, since when did Sakura, with her personality, become so bold?'
"Sakura..."
Alvin looked down at the girl, about to speak.
Before Alvin could react, his face was cupped between a pair of slightly cool, small hands. The corners of Sakura's lips curled into a faint smile as she slowly leaned closer, her breath almost touching his face.
She tilted her head slightly and smiled, "Nee-san is still asleep right now... so it's okay to do anything, isn't it?"
Alvin gazed at her silently. Her small, full, cherry lips parted slightly, between the opening and closing, an alluring, ambiguous breath fell almost entirely upon his face.
Sakura's eyes were tender yet held an inexplicable seductiveness as she inched closer to him.
The intoxicating breath hung between them. Alvin's arms instinctively wrapped around Sakura's delicate body, and he slowly lowered his head toward her.
Swish!
Just then, the door to the room slid open.
Alvin snapped back to his senses and was about to take Sakura out of the hall.
But the girl clung tightly to him, refusing to let go.
"Why is it so noisy out here? Are we under attack?"
Tohsaka Rin rubbed her sleepy eyes as she stepped out of her room, her tender white feet in a pair of cotton slippers, and walked toward the living room.
She looked up and saw the hall.
In her sapphire blue eyes reflected the scene of her younger sister embracing a young man in the dim light.
Rin stood there dazed, her expression frozen stiff in an instant.
