(Third Person POV)
Ellion was walking down the hall when he noticed something was up; he didn't sense much manpower in his Observation Haki radius. He had sworn the Lannister and Hightower forces had made up half of the men in the Red Keep, but he didn't sense their presences at all.
He noticed a man-at-arms walking past him, "Hey." He said, "Where are the Lannister and Hightower forces?"
"Hm?" He said, "I heard that they went for a hunt in the Kingswood."
"A hunt?" Ellion raised an eyebrow
"The outlaws in there, from what I heard." the man said, "Apparently both Lords Tywin and Leyton decided to go and handle them. Lord Steffon was going to join but he and the King were discussing other things."
"Hm....." Ellion said, "Interesting."
"What is it?" the man asked
"No, it's nothing." Ellion said as he walked past him
For some reason, there was a feeling that they couldn't shake off. Tywin going to the Kingswood to slay the outlaws that have been threatening anyone who pass through the forest is something he would expect from the Lannister. But he didn't expect for Leyton Hightower to join him, which really did come as a surprise.
The Targaryen, Baratheon, and Martell forces were still in the Keep. But despite that, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.
He walked over to the courtyard, seeing that it was nearly empty. There were a few Baratheon men-at-arms that were standing around.
"Hey." He called out, "Is this all there is of you Baratheons?"
One of them looked at him, "Lord Steffon went for a ride by the Blackwater." He said, "He took most of the men."
Ellion frowned, "What?" He said, "A ride? I thought he was with the King."
"Well, we heard he did speak with him." the man said
"Lannister, Hightower, and Baratheon...." Ellion thought to himself, "All three of them are not in the Keep. Something is wrong. Why the fuck would they come to the Red Keep to discuss marriage proposals, but I've heard nothing of the sort? And they're not in the Keep now? Something is definitely off."
He looked around, his Observation Haki picking up the usual movement inside the Keep, save for some spots he cannot pick up. The castle was that large and he required to move around to fully cover it.
Which is what he was about to do.
He walked away, making his way deeper into the castle. He spread his haki everywhere, covering every inch of the Keep, making sure that even the bugs and rats were picked up. He noticed that the usual Targaryen guards were posted, even the Kingsguard were there.
He walked about, even passing by Lady Casanna and Lady Joanna's chambers, which were guarded by men-at-arms. This put him at ease, but there was still a feeling he couldn't shake off. It was frustrating for him, knowing that there could be something wrong.
As he walked, he confirmed that the Ladies were safe and decided to make his way towards the KIng's chambers, curious about what Aerys was doing.
As he turned a corner, he ran into Ashara Dayne, who widened her eyes in surprise.
"Ser Ellion!" She said
"My Lady." Ellion said as he looked around, "Where is Princess Elia? And Prince Oberyn?"
"Princess Elia is with Lady Malora, the two of them are embroidering small tapestries." Ashara said, "I was about to join them. Prince Oberyn joined Lord Tywin Lannister in their raid of the Kingswood. I figured you would help out; my brother went there as well."
"Hm....." Ellion said, "Do me a favor and join them."
She frowned, "Is there something wrong?" She asked, "Must I be worried?"
Ellion had a serious look on his face, "We'll speak later." He said, "Right now there-"
"Ser Ellion." He turned to see Prince Rhaegar walking up to him, "There you are. I was told you didn't join Lord Tywin in the raid?"
Ellion shook his head, "I was not invited." he said, "I suppose Tywin does not want me to take the credit. That being said, where is the King?"
"His Grace is in his chambers, discussing matters with my mother." Rhaegar said
Ellion focused his Observation Haki towards the King's Chambers, making out the outline of Aerys and Rhaella's presences. It did seem that they were sitting across from each other, speaking normally. At that moment, Ellion worried that Aerys would have Rhaella subject to his physical abuse.
But seeing that it was not the case, Ellion got rather annoyed that it wasn't the bad feeling he was getting.
He had this serious scowl on his face, one that both Rhaegar and Ashara noticed right away.
"What is the matter?" Rhaegar asked, glancing at Ashara, "My Lady, are you not with the Princess Elia nor Lady Malora?"
Ashara looked at Ellion, "Ser Ellion...?"
"Go with Princess Elia and Lady Malora." Ellion said seriously, "Prince Rhaegar, secure them. Ensure that the Queen is protected, as well as Lady Casanna and Lady Joanna. Something is wrong."
Rhaegar raised an eyebrow, "How could you be so sure?" He asked, "What is-"
"The security in the Red Keep is lax." Ellion turned around, "This is perfect for someone to strike."
"Who would-...." Rhaegar narrowed his eyes, "You don't think that.....?"
"Take Lady Ashara to the Princess. Now." Ellion said as a men-at-arms ran up to them
"Prince Rhaegar!" He said, a panicked look on his face, "We have problems!"
Rhaegar looked at him, "What is the matter?"
"100 men!" the man said as Ellion stopped to look at him, "100 men are marching towards the Red Keep. Apparently, it's one of the Vale Knights, Ser Qarl Templeton!!"
Ellion looked at Rhaegar, "I knew it." He said, "The man you were concerned about. He intends to strike."
Rhaegar said, "100 men?" He said, "It is not enough to take the Red Keep. But if they take us by surprise, they could cause some damage. And most of the forces are not at the Keep."
"Secure the Ladies and the Queen, as well as the King." Ellion said as he walked down the hall
"And you?" Rhaegar called out
"What do you think?" Ellion said with a serious expression,
"I will meet Ser Qarl myself."
