Chapter 23 - Chapter 22: it doesn’t matter

# Hoshito's house #

I came back with Renji and Rukia, who looked irritated. In the house, Urahara was waiting for us.

Urahara: "Oh! Back so soon? I thought it would take—!" he said and stopped when he saw two red marks of a punch in my face.

He turned to both Shinigami and back to me, then chuckled.

Urahara: "Hoshito-San, did you fight Abarai-Kun and Kuchiki-San?"

Hoshito: "If the word fighting includes letting this guy punch very hard, then yes." I said while pointing at Renji.

Urahara couldn't hold laugh and burst out. A big vein showed up on my head while holding myself back from punching him. After a while, he asked what had happened there, and I explained to him.

Urahara: "I see, and because of that, Abarai-Kun beat you up."

Hoshito: "Yeah…"

Urahara: "Well, that's very understandable since you overestimate yourself."

Hoshito: "Huh?"

He didn't add other words and turned to Rukia with a playful look. She sighed, and it didn't look like she wanted to do what he wanted, but eventually she turned to me and looked at me with a serious expression.

Rukia: "Listen, you foul, it doesn't matter how much reiatsu you have if you don't know how to use it." — She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened — "In other words, no matter how high your reiatsu, if you don't have skills to use it, then you are nothing more than dead weight."

The words hit me like swords stabbing my heart. I clenched my fist hard and lowered my head. Renji adds the wound up as mentioned, the hollow's attack by using his head at me.

Hoshito: "But his head wasn't in my direction back then! You saw it too; he fell on his knees!"

Renji: "Huh? What are you talking about? We only saw a swing in the air next to the hollow."

The last sentence caught Urahara's attention, and he asked for details. Renji explained that after I drew my sword, the hollow moved slightly away from me, and then I started swinging at the air and turning my back on the hollow. At that moment, he interfered and struck down the Hollow.

When we heard that, we realized something was wrong. The hollow shouldn't be able to use hallucination or illusion for Hollow at his size. It was obvious he wasn't Adjuchas nor a special Hollow.

Hoshito: 'Don't tell me it was the same situation with the ability of the fog…?!'

I looked at Urahara, and he was deep in thought. Then, suddenly, he suggests we talk about this another time and leave the house with a serious expression on his face. It was bizarre for him to leave like that, but it shows how dangerous things might be.

I rubbed my head out of frustration and said to both of the Shinigami to go to their friend's house, aka Ichigo's, and do whatever they want, but don't bring me trouble.

They both looked puzzled, but they soon realized the seriousness of this and agreed about it, then left the house.

Hoshito: 'Things go hard on me, and I can't keep up with it.' — I thought while sitting on the couch — "Sigh, I wish I could be just a mob character and take an easy life here."

V: "Is that so? Does mob life get easy?" he said as he suddenly showed up behind me.

Hoshito: "How long were you standing there?"

V: "Just now."

I sighed again with a tired expression on my face. V sits beside me with his usual expressionless face.

Hoshito: 'Dude, just change this damn expression.'

V: "So, what are you going to do?"

Hoshito: "I don't know, but one thing is certain… I have to train myself and gain some skills to fight Shu."

V: "Shu?"

Hoshito: "I mean, Tsukishima!! I need to train to fight him!" I said panickily.

V shrugged it off.

V: "Then that makes two of us."

Hoshito: "You are going to train too?!" I said with a surprised expression.

V: "Yes, since my powers went down to limit myself here, I need to train to regain at least some of it," he said while looking at his Qunicy necklace.

Hoshito: "I see, then we should decide where to train."

V: "Right, and the best place would be Urahara's basement."

My expression annoyed one since I don't want to go there at any cost, but it's the safest one from others' eyes.

V: "Hoshito, there was a question I have had for a long time."

Hoshito: "What is it?"

V: "What's your real name?"

The question caught me off guard as I never expected someone to ask me this. It's very personal to me since I don't like to tell anyone my name. The room became heavy and quiet as a change would happen here.

Hoshito: "…it's Hoshito Yuru… the same name this body's owner has."

V's eyes were wide open, and his expressionless face changed to a surprised one.

Hoshito: "Shocked, right? I don't blame you for it. and it's not that." — I took a deep breath and looked at V with a serious expression — "The family here and this life pre-Hoshito have is the same life I have in my previous life."

V: "What?!"

Hoshito: "Yes, I could tell that because there was a diary in his desk, and when I read it…"

V: "It says the very similar events happened to you, but with slightly different details in it, right?"

I nodded. The first time I saw it, my heart stopped beating for a second, and a huge fear came over me. I didn't know what to do, so I stayed for two days until I calmed down.

V: 'Same life, same family, same name… that can't be coincidental, but no one capable of doing that… could it be the soul king… no, I might be overthinking,' he thought while checking his head in the last sentence.

Hoshito: "But it doesn't matter to me. Since I will do what I want."

V: "It doesn't bother you?"

Hoshito: "A little, but what can we do? We don't have a clue, and it's a pain in the ass."

V: "You are right… by the way, Hoshito… where is your body within soul candy?"

Hoshito: "Ah….ahhhhh I totally forgot about it!!"
