Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Re-enactment of cleansing..!

Nobody could bear the fury.. The vampires were in an uproar..

A little investigation was all it took to pull out the main pest. The witch king was alive..! The bastard, the reason for the cleansing that happed a few centuries into the past.

The memory of the witch trying to throw the bucket of dirty water on his daughter all those months ago added fuel to Damian's already heated fury..!

The whole northern territory was mobilized...!

Salva and the other commanders raised up their banners as they headed towards the witch tower. Darel had led guards to the bloodwing company headquarters but Alfred was already long gone.

Damian sat in that same hall underneath the old castle in Bromwin, his hands clenched tightly around the goblet filled with raw blood. Nairel sat on one of the seats with his father's hand on his shoulder to clam him. Dense clouds of frost energy hovered above Bromwin. No one dared to breathe to loudly.

The council members walked in one after the other, their eyes sharp with fury and contempt.., they had heard the gist!

Kavriel was already seated, the mischief usually in his golden eyes had faded to a cold killing intent. Dareevah was seated right beside him, Feray was left with the nannies at the north.

The druids, the beast men, the werewolves, the Nagas... all had their support to give!

No objections were raised when Damian proposed another purge, they understood that they stood no chance of survival if they refused, besides they were disgusted by the witches already!

'Beep Beep'

The monitors in the room beeped nonstop as the pale girl lying on the white sheets opened her eyes. A doctor in a white coat stood at her side with a light smile in his eyes..

"Miss, welcome back to the land of the living"

Raven was dazed for a while before his words registered in her head..

Her eyes swept over the face of the doctor trying to see if she recognized him.

The doctor had sharp facial features reflecting his otherworldly beauty. His head was filled with gold locks tied up into a high ponytail with a few strands swaying above his forehead. His ears were pointed but they were unlike any she had ever seen. His eyes were green like forests and they had a gem like sparkle hidden within them.

"Who are you..?"

"I'm Erik, your attending doctor... what's your name?"

His voice was warm as he assessed her situation. His eyes glowed with a warm green light as he placed a finger on her forehead.

"Her vitals are stable. her recovery speed is very fast. She can be cleared after a while"

Raven finally noticed that they were not alone, the white room was filled with nurses and doctors in white coats holding notepads. They all had golden hair and pointy ears unlike what she knew. Only their eyes varied... There were blues and yellows and golds and greys even pinks and reds too.

They all held warm smiles on their lips like ambassadors of peace. Their skins were fair and smooth.

"I'm Raven..,"

**********

Frantic footsteps echoed through the halls of the dark tower, the witch guards and the higher-ups of the witch council were running around as cold sweat dripped from their backs.

Their dark robes only made the heat worse, their panic increasing. They had been very subtle with their movements but had not accounted for the anomaly in the bloodwing mansion. To them, Ale was just another vampire they found to guard the vampire princess. But unfortunately he was the variable they did not account for plus.. When did the fae prince become so strong to shatter a grade nine abyssal cage with a casual punch!

The witch king had smashed the council room when he found out they had been discovered.

The fae king's forces had already allied with the Nagas to chase after the dark witches hiding beyond the borders.. all their hideouts were suddenly raided... there was no leniency, they were pulverized on sight.

It evoked bad memories from all those years ago.

Maybe they were just unlucky!

The vampires and the druids had surrounded the tower, there was no escape.

To make matters worse, a suppression spell was cast throughout the west of Brusselie. They couldn't breathe even for a little bit. This was destined to be a massacre.

In the upper chambers of the tower, the witch king was still in a bout of fury as he waved a volcanic whip around lashing his kneeling children...

"You two are a disgrace to our ancestors! How stupid can anybody actually get!"

Valaria whimpered on her knees while Vayari tried to block the whip lashes from his sister. He took it all on his own!

This only riled the witch king further.

If he could he would kill the two with his own two hands.

All those centuries ago, he had been at the height of his power. His ambitions grew as his position in society advanced. What Witch king. He wanted to rule Brusselie! a unification of sorts!

All his plans were set and he was so close to success when those darn Vampires suddenly besieged his territory claiming he was not fit to rule any longer! He may have been a little extreme in his methods but he was the rightful ruler of the witches. They had no right to interfere. At that time Valaria was only eighteen, she had grown up away from home with her mother, a dark witch. Vayari had been declared dead when Valaria was fifteen but that was just a part of his plan. Vayari was only born as a vessel for his father. A spare body in case of emergencies.

With the help of his beloved wife, he stowed his soul with the dark witches before his execution, then Valaria fought tooth and nail with the council elders before she was crowned queen of the witches. For a hundred years he waited for his body to be complete, then he was reborn from the flames as a child.

He was raised by his wife for centuries while Valaria ruled and Vayari built a simple life for himself.

It was all within the scope of his control! When he had reached the peak of his power, he returned.

His little daughter was loyal and his son only had his sister in his eyes. The chess pieces were set but all of a sudden at the height of his plans those darn Vampires ruined it all again!

The witch king looked down from the open window of the tower and with clenched fists, he jumped down!

The dark witches didn't like him very much and his only supporter; his wife had died two years ago from a sudden incurable disease. He had nothing left! might as well fight to death!

With a wild, bitter laugh, the Witch King vaulted over the stone sill and jumped straight down into the middle of the vampire vanguard, determined to fight to the death.
