The Hangzhou Base was formidable, but it wasn't invincible. The thought of an outsider infiltrating their sanctum to cause damage or steal intelligence sent a jolt of adrenaline through everyone present.
"An enemy invasion? Who is it? Could it be a Heavenly Human giant?"
"It must be. Who else would have the strength to even dare infiltrate our base?"
"That's right. This base hasn't had a hostile breach in over twenty years. Whoever they are, they're not here for a friendly visit. They must be powerful."

"This elevator is pretty futuristic…" Skinny Monkey's voice trailed off as his eyes adjusted. He took in the sight of hundreds of Special Department agents in black tactical suits, armed to the teeth, and his face instantly turned the color of ash.
Brother Leopard, Deer, and the others also looked on in abject terror, their jaws hanging open in dumbfounded shock.
What in the world was going on?
They had simply followed Zhang Yaqian and Shen Anyu here, originally planning to have a bit of fun and teach them a lesson.
But what was this situation?
An Zhiyue's delicate brows furrowed. Her phoenix-like eyes narrowed, a flicker of confusion passing through them. Just these five small-time thugs, daring to break into the Hangzhou Special Department Base? What was this?
The other agents were equally bewildered, their battle-ready stances faltering.
For a moment, the underground base of the Hangzhou Special Department was plunged into a bizarre, almost awkward silence.
Brother Leopard and his crew were already scared witless. As far as the eye could see, there were dense crowds of powerful individuals. They could sense the aura of dozens of Grandmasters. The agents were armed with everything from blades and firearms to anti-tank rocket launchers.

Brother Leopard cursed inwardly. He pasted a smile onto his face that was more of a grimace, cupping his hands in a clumsy, placating gesture.
"Excuse me, everyone. We seem to have come to the wrong place. We'll just... leave now."
With that, Brother Leopard began to turn his body with a stiff, robotic motion, intending to slip away.
Skinny Monkey and the others immediately lowered their heads, tucking their tails between their legs like scolded dogs.
