The small team made their way back to the base. This was not the time to argue. What they needed to do was ensure they got to safety.
It didn't take long for them to arrive at the base. The zombies, though moving quickly, weren't able to compete with the vehicle just yet. So they were more than able to get them off their tail.
"Get some rest," Aiden told the others. "Once we have more information, we will let you know."
Aiden knew they would want to know more. They understood what Ember had told them. If it was right, then there were several zombies heading their way. They needed to ensure they could protect themselves and the base.
Ember, walking to Marcus's workshop, thought about what she knew. Were these zombies coming here because the DLS knew their location, or is it coincidental? She wanted to believe it was a coincidence. Because if it wasn't, they were in for a lot of trouble.
Aiden noticed her troubled expression. "Something you want to tell me?"
