Sitting beside Ember, Aiden brushed her hair back. Her heavy breathing sounded in the room. He carefully removed the cuffs from her wrists and ankles. Ember was still euphoric and didn't realize the restraints had been removed.
She lay with her arms stretched, drinking in the sensations. Her body felt heavy and light all at the same time. She licked her lips, trying to calm herself.
Aiden walked to the dispenser in the room. He poured some water into a disposable cup. Adjusting Ember, he gave her water to drink. When she had finished it, he waited.
The hydration brought her back. She blinked slowly, her eyes adjusting from seeing stars to seeing the room. She saw his intense dark eyes fixed on her.
"There's still one more thing I want us to try. Are you willing?"
He didn't move. He was waiting for her answer. Ember nodded. She wasn't sure what he wanted, but she trusted him enough to know he wouldn't harm her.
