Two magic wars!
Glintstone Sorcerers are a group of sorcerers who gain power by observing the stars, so powerful that they could contend with Marika's Golden Dynasty.
However, the Liurnia region is currently embroiled in a fierce civil war.
The Glintstone Sorcerers, once united, have now split into two factions:
one consists of sorcerers led by Raya Lucaria Academy, while the other is comprised of the Carian Royal Family, the royal sorcerers.
These two factions once shared a common origin, both stemming from the starry sky, but they worship different entities.
Liurnia's indigenous magic was primarily Moon Magic, but after the sorcerers of the Eternal City violated taboos and created god-slaying weapons, they were ultimately crushed by the Supreme Will with a meteor.
Liurnia also fell into a power vacuum, and it was at this time that a group of stargazers, primarily focused on Star Magic, arrived.
To observe and study the stars more deeply, they established a new sorcerer academy in Lake Liurnia, within Carian Manor.
Thus, two powers emerged in Liurnia: the Carian Royal Family and the stargazers, two factions of sorcerers. Initially, they coexisted peacefully.
But as time passed, due to differences in belief, both sides began to view the other as heretics. A mountain cannot hold two tigers, and war was inevitable; thus, the First Magic War began.
However, with the maiden Rennala comprehending Full Moon Magic and displaying unparalleled power, she was honored as the Full Moon Queen.
The First Magic War also ended with the Carian Royal Family victorious under the decisive Full Moon power, establishing a coexistence where the Carian Royal Family held dominance and the Academy was forced to yield.
Even the treasured "Sword of Night and Flame" from the stargazers' lineage was seized and collected by the Carian Royal Family, showing that in this war, although the stargazers seemed to coexist, they were actually thoroughly defeated and only survived by begging for mercy.
The sorcerers of Liurnia, empowered by Full Moon Queen Rennala, successfully resisted the magic war initiated by the Golden Dynasty.
However, the Golden Dynasty did not give up due to failure. Since they couldn't win a direct confrontation, the Golden Dynasty chose a honey trap, with Radagon appearing to marry Rennala and indirectly rule Liurnia.
During this period, Rennala and Radagon were deeply in love and had three children: Radahn, Rykard, and Ranni.
But as the First Elden Lord, Godfrey, regained his grace and was expelled from the Lands Between, Marika recalled Radagon, who became the Second Elden Lord.
Queen Rennala's heart was broken, and she suffered a miscarriage in extreme grief, leading to the death of her unborn child, which plunged her into extreme pain and madness.
Queen Rennala began to dabble in forbidden magic, attempting to re-nurture her unborn child with the life force of the Erdtree's amber.
This process led to many elite sorcerers of the Carian Royal Family becoming sacrifices, causing a power vacuum in the Carian Royal Family's magical strength.
The power in this region was originally very strong. With the arrival of the Shattering War, her children, in their quest to become Elden Lord, took most of their forces to the Royal Capital, Leyndell, to seize the supreme throne, leaving the region hollow.
The sole Moon Princess, Ranni, also disappeared, further weakening the Carian Royal Family's defenses.
And it was at this moment that the sorcerers of Raya Lucaria Academy, who had long been ruled by the Carian Royal Family, also noticed the Royal Family's decline.
They launched the Second Magic War. On one hand, they imprisoned the maddened Queen Rennala, confining her to the deepest Grand Library of the Academy, where she indulged in rebirth magic.
On the other hand, these sorcerers also began a purge and counterattack against the Carian Royal Family. They dispatched Cuckoo Knights to attack Caria Manor in West Liurnia.
Facing this situation, the Carian Royal Family, represented by the strategist Iji, launched a full-scale resistance and allied with the Albinaurics, who had always been considered lowly lifeforms by the sorcerers, to counter-besiege the Academy.
Thus, a peculiar situation formed in present-day Liurnia: the Albinaurics surrounded the Academy, while the Cuckoo Knights surrounded Caria Manor.
Despite immense efforts from both sides, the Academy was ultimately not conquered, nor was Caria Manor.
As such, both sides remain in a long-term standoff, neither able to completely defeat the other.
Xiao flew in mid-air, observing the stalemate below, with no intention of intervening.
He silently observed the situation, deciding to first seek his Runes.
So, he turned and sped toward the direction where the Runes were located, but fate had other plans.
The Glintstone Sorcerers could not ignore a being flying freely over their territory.
Poof—
A massive Comet Azur suddenly rose from the ground, like a dazzling meteor streaking across the sky.
This Comet Azur contained powerful magic and Glintstone power; once it hit its target, it would inflict both magic and physical damage, an attack capable of shattering even hard metal and stone walls with a single blow.
And the one who launched this attack was a Glintstone Sorcerer from Raya Lucaria Academy.
"Black Sun Eclipse!"
Facing the rapidly approaching Comet Azur, Xiao unhesitatingly extended his finger.
Instantly, a black sun filled with destructive aura emerged, as if to dye the entire sky black.
The black sun rapidly expanded, completely engulfing the incoming Comet Azur, and also allowed Xiao to obtain some Glintstone magic. The Cyber Aura within his body immediately surged forward, beginning to analyze and decipher the Glintstone magic.
"Nonsense!"
Xiao was equally merciless toward enemies who dared to attack him.
He raised his hand and conjured a long spear shimmering with lightning, then hurled it with force.
This lightning spear sped like lightning, transforming into a sharp war spear and piercing directly toward the Glintstone Sorcerer.
Boom~~~
The lightning spear violently struck the invisible azure shield, emitting a loud bang.
Then, the lightning spear exploded, forming a dazzling golden fireworks display.
"Such strong defense, and quite capable!"
After just one strike, Xiao realized that the protective shield outside Raya Lucaria Academy was not simple.
That attack landed on it without even causing a ripple, which surprised Xiao somewhat.
Clearly, that strike was merely a trivial scratch to the magic shield.
But more importantly, the sorcerers inside the Academy could launch Glintstone magic outward through the shield,
which meant they could attack enemies at will, while enemies could not inflict any substantial damage upon them.
No wonder even the Golden Dynasty back then failed to conquer this Academy; with such a magic shield, conquering it would be nothing but a pipe dream.
