Emily Thomas stared blankly at Tobby Curry. She could clearly feel that Tobby had changed, though she couldn't pinpoint exactly when he became different from others.
Perhaps it started when he sparred with Sect Master Jessica, or maybe when he faced off against over fifty disciples of The North Gate alone in the iron-fenced arena. Whatever the case, Emily felt that Tobby had become much stronger than before. As for how he was stronger, she couldn't say; maybe it was his prowess, or perhaps the changes in many aspects delighted her.
The deeds he achieved in Summit City felt unfamiliar yet left Emily regretful, as if she had missed many life experiences with him. As childhood friends, Emily felt she should make up for this lost time, and that's why she came to the camp. The more she interacted with and understood Tobby, the more pleased she was to discover his excellence, which filled her with pride.
