This time, a group of special police officers assigned to work with Team Two were all under internal review. All their work was suspended, and their communication devices, like phones, had to be handed in for inspection.
Steven Davis stood outside the office, watching all the special police officers undergoing inspection inside. He stood alone, smoking a cigarette, wanting to leave right then and there. However, orders from above dictated that no one in the special police department was to go out for the next few days, at least until the internal review was finished. As a result, Steven Davis's personal freedom was restricted.
Fortunately, it was only those people getting inspected, and it seemed like he, as an instructor, didn't need to be checked.
When his colleagues came out, he asked, "How did it go? Did you find anything?"
The colleagues all shook their heads: "We don't know who the mole is. We've almost checked everyone, and it's almost over."
