Chapter 345 - Boldness and Recruitment

The Den Den Mushi was silent for a while before the voice on the other end continued.

"I hope you don't do anything unnecessary. Some things are not for you to touch."

White Ghost lazily tilted his head.

"Relax, relax. I know what's good for me. I never do things that threaten my own safety."

Just as the other side was about to hang up, White Ghost continued,

"Then, Saint Topman Warcury, do you still want these people or not? One Ancient Zoan per person. It's a very fair deal."

"They're only a few useless fools. Do whatever you want with them."

The moment he finished speaking, Saint Topman Warcury hung up.

White Ghost put down the Den Den Mushi and looked at the people sitting on the floor with a smile.

"Yohoho. Looks like you've been abandoned."

Lafitte smiled with his usual professional politeness.

White Ghost looked at them cheerfully.

"In other words, you're all mine to deal with now."

The group lowered their heads and said nothing.

They had never expected this result.

Or rather, they had never dared imagine it.

For CP agents of the World Government, failing a mission meant death.

That was a place that did not need useless people.

"Hahaha!"

Jabra suddenly burst into laughter. His face twisted as he stared at White Ghost.

Everyone else looked at him.

Had this guy gone insane from despair?

Jabra ignored their gazes and stared straight at the master of this place.

"So, does this great figure intend to make us submit?

"Even if we do surrender, do you really dare use us? Can you trust us?"

White Ghost looked with amusement at this werewolf, whom the fans called weak but fond of showing off.

The corner of Jabra's mouth rose.

"What's wrong? Don't dare say anything?"

White Ghost snapped his fingers.

Lafitte stepped forward and unlocked his shackles.

"This…"

Now it was Jabra's turn to be stunned.

Kaku and the others also looked at him in disbelief.

White Ghost smiled at him.

"Why wouldn't I dare use you? Are you demons?

"Or are you saying I should fear your betrayal? Fear you leaking the secrets on my ship?"

The others stared blankly at that man, unable to understand his actions.

White Ghost continued,

"I know that since childhood, all of you were taught loyalty to the World Government and loyalty to the Celestial Dragons.

"But they never treated you as people. In their eyes, you're just dogs."

The group looked at him with dark expressions.

White Ghost stared at Jabra.

"Here, I'll treat you like a person. I'll give you strength. I'll let you feel that your life has meaning.

"Of course, the premise is that you don't betray me. If one day…"

White Ghost paused, and his aura suddenly erupted.

"If one day you betray me, then I'll let you understand what it means to be unable to live and unable to die."

"Ugh!"

The terrifying pressure forced the group to lower their heads.

"Hah!"

They gasped heavily, staring at that man in shock.

This guy truly had the courage to use them.

Jabra walked up to White Ghost.

Lucci and the others stared hard at him, hoping it was not what they thought.

Then everyone's eyes widened.

They saw Jabra drop to one knee before White Ghost.

"My lord, from now on, I'm your dog."

White Ghost tapped the table.

Buzz.

An invisible force lifted him up.

"I told you. Here, I treat you like people."

"Yes, my lord."

Jabra lowered his head.

"Yohoho. Welcome to the team, newcomer."

Lafitte handed him a cloak, the exclusive cloak of White Ghost's crew.

When they saw Jabra truly put on the cloak marked with a five-clawed golden dragon, Kumadori cursed loudly.

"Jabra, you bastard! The World Government raised you for so many years, and this is how you repay them? Ungrateful wolf!"

Jabra said nothing. He only sneered at him.

White Ghost pointed, and Doc Q walked over while holding the Memory Seahorse.

"Come then. I will not yield to you. Use whatever methods you have."

Kumadori looked fearlessly at Doc Q.

"It's time for you to eat."

Doc Q looked at the seahorse in his hand.

The others instinctively looked over.

Eat?

Did that mean eating him?

Buzz.

The moment Kumadori met the Memory Seahorse's eyes, its eyes flashed red.

The next second, Kumadori blinked and looked around in confusion.

"Who am I? Who are you? Where am I?"

The others' pupils shook violently.

What was this?

His memories had been eaten?

Doc Q took out a syringe and stabbed it into his neck.

As the unknown liquid was injected, Kumadori's eyes began to lose focus.

Lafitte stepped forward and hypnotized him. Before long, Kumadori's eyes refocused.

Lafitte pointed at Jabra.

"Remember. He is your big brother. You were badly injured before, and he saved you. From now on, he is your brother."

Lafitte snapped his fingers and unlocked his cuffs.

Kumadori looked at Jabra and called out,

"Big Brother."

Everyone else turned pale at the sight.

If that move was used on them…

Jabra looked expectantly at Lucci.

Kumadori was taken away.

Caesar's side happened to need experimental subjects.

After dealing with that guy, Doc Q walked straight toward Blueno.

Blueno looked at him in terror.

"Wait. I surrender. I surrender. Don't do that."

"Hehehe."

A cruel smile appeared on Doc Q's face.

"Sorry. Your ability is too dangerous. The captain said you must be controlled."

"Wait—"

Before Blueno could say anything else, the Memory Seahorse ate his memories.

Doc Q's movements were smooth and practiced.

Before long, Blueno was taken away.

White Ghost had to obtain the Door-Door Fruit.

That thing was far too meaningful. Not for one person, but for the group as a whole.

Now only four people were left.

Rob Lucci, Kalifa, Kaku, and Fukurou.

White Ghost stroked Robin's hand, which was growing fairer by the day.

"So, what do the four of you say? Do I have to act directly, or will you be sensible?"

The moment White Ghost finished speaking, Fukurou said in fear,

"I submit. I submit. Captain, please don't do that to me."

White Ghost was very satisfied and had someone unlock his shackles.

This guy was also sensible. He put on a cloak himself and stood beside Jabra.

Lucci looked seriously into White Ghost's eyes.

"You said you'll treat us like people, right?"

The moment he said that, Kaku and Kalifa looked at him in disbelief.

White Ghost snapped his fingers.

Señor Pink walked in through the door carrying a cage. Inside it was Lucci's white pigeon.

The moment the cage opened, the pigeon eagerly flew onto Lucci and cooed nonstop.

"This is yours, right? I didn't roast it."

White Ghost lazily stood up.

"Everyone, my patience is limited. I'm only interested in your potential. Don't fail to understand your own weight. Don't wait until I run out of patience before deciding."

After saying that, White Ghost left the room with Robin.

His crew could handle the rest.
