Chapter 249 - Chinjao Regains His Former Glory

When Chinjao slowly woke up, the first thing he saw was his two grandsons watching him with worried faces.

His mind was still muddled, as if he had forgotten something. He reached up and patted his head.

Slap!

"Hm?"

Chinjao froze.

That didn't feel right.

Carefully, he reached up again.

Round.

Long.

Then he kept feeling upward until he reached the very top.

Pointed.

Chinjao's eyes widened.

He remembered now.

That White Ghost had said one punch would solve the problem.

Sai and Boo didn't even dare breathe too loudly.

They were afraid of disturbing their grandfather, afraid he might get too excited and pass away on the spot.

After confirming again and again that his cone-shaped head had truly returned, Chinjao burst into loud laughter.

"Hahahaha! My head! My drill head has returned!"

Buzz!

As Chinjao laughed, his Conqueror's Haki erupted directly. Everything in the room was blown about with a series of clattering noises.

Sai and Boo raised their arms in front of themselves, their faces filled with excitement.

Grandfather's head had returned.

Even his aura seemed to have risen by another level.

White Ghost was still drinking with King Ramen when he suddenly paused.

King Ramen looked at him drunkenly.

"What's wrong, little brother? Did something happen?"

The others also turned to White Ghost, not understanding what had happened.

White Ghost smiled.

"Nothing. It's just that we're about to meet the Chinjao the Drill of old."

King Ramen froze.

His muddled, drunken mind instantly cleared, and his face filled with excitement.

"Truly?"

White Ghost didn't answer. He simply looked toward the door.

Everyone followed White Ghost's gaze.

Thud, thud, thud.

The sound of feet stepping on the floor approached.

Before long, Chinjao and his two grandsons appeared before everyone.

"This is…"

Everyone looked at Chinjao in shock.

He woke up this quickly?

Chinjao didn't look at anyone else. The moment he saw White Ghost, his eyes lit up.

"My benefactor!"

Chinjao shouted and leapt toward White Ghost.

White Ghost's face darkened.

Damn it. He hated it most when men looked at him like that.

Just as Chinjao was about to rush over and kneel in gratitude, he saw White Ghost draw his great sword.

The great sword was also covered in arcs of electricity, and that aura made Chinjao feel danger.

White Ghost looked at Chinjao as he stopped in place and took a deep breath.

"Talk properly. Don't force me to cut you."

Everyone recovered from that terrifying aura. Then they thought of how Chinjao had looked at White Ghost just now and burst into laughter.

Chinjao awkwardly rubbed his drill head.

He really had been a little too reckless just now.

White Ghost waved his hand.

"Forget the thanks. It's too sentimental. Ruins my appetite."

King Ramen grew excited.

Chinjao had returned.

The old Chinjao the Drill had truly returned.

With a wave of King Ramen's hand, the palace maids quickly replaced the wine and dishes, and the king called out warmly to White Ghost.

"Tonight, we drink until we drop!"

The banquet began in the afternoon and continued all the way until midnight.

By the end, everyone had drunk too much.

Of course, Enel and Kontena hadn't drunk much.

White Ghost walked through the streets, enjoying the cool night breeze while complaining.

"Damn that King Ramen. He saw how much I drank and didn't even invite me to stay. Letting me sleep in the palace for one night would've been fine."

Kuro rubbed his aching head. Hearing that, he glanced at White Ghost.

"Have you forgotten your reputation on the sea? Would he dare keep you overnight?"

Enel and Kontena held back laughter and turned their heads away.

If they laughed in his face, they would definitely be beaten.

White Ghost froze. Then he thought about his reputation on the sea.

A starving ghost in lust.

White Ghost's face darkened.

"That damn Morgans. Sooner or later, I'm hanging him up and whipping him."

The group staggered back.

White Ghost could have used Life Return to sober himself up, but he didn't like doing that.

If you drank, you should enjoy the feeling.

Otherwise, why drink at all?

You might as well drink water.

After returning to the ship, the other three went off to rest.

White Ghost, still dizzy, made his way to the top floor where he lived.

He casually opened a room and walked inside.

In any case, this floor belonged to him and his women. The others lived below.

Before long, the little squirrel's lazy voice sounded.

"White Ghost… stop messing around. Let me sleep a little more."

Hearing that voice, White Ghost felt his bones soften.

He set up a barrier and chuckled wickedly.

"It's fine. You sleep. Don't mind me."

Soon, strange sounds came from the little squirrel's throat.

Fortunately, White Ghost still remembered to set up a barrier.

Although the room's soundproofing was already good, White Ghost had made it a habit.

The next morning, White Ghost did not have the habit of sleeping in.

The little squirrel forced herself awake and helped him dress.

White Ghost felt sorry for her and said he could do it himself.

The little squirrel shook her head.

"Dressing her own man is a woman's duty."

After casually putting on a set of leisure clothes, White Ghost gently picked up the little squirrel and placed her back on the bed, then covered her with the blanket.

He kissed her forehead.

"Rest well. I'm going to practice swordsmanship."

"Mm…"

The little squirrel smiled sweetly and slowly closed her eyes, falling back asleep.

When Chinjao arrived with his two grandsons to find White Ghost, they saw him swinging his great sword, his whole body covered in sweat.

Boo watched White Ghost sweating and couldn't help saying, "He's already one of the top figures on the sea. Does he still need to train?"

Kuro, who was leading them over, gave a soft laugh.

"You ate today. Does that mean you won't eat tomorrow?

"The captain once told us strength doesn't rise just because you talk about it. It has to be built bit by bit."

Boo froze and wanted to refute him, but after thinking for a long time, he couldn't find a single thing to say.

White Ghost put away his great sword and accepted the towel Nami handed him. While wiping off his sweat, he looked at the grandfather and grandsons.

"What brings you here?"

Chinjao took a book from Sai and handed it to White Ghost without saying anything, letting him read it himself.

White Ghost accepted the book and sat down on his lounge chair.

Nami giggled as she lit White Ghost's cigar and poured him red wine.

Chinjao and the others had no reaction to the sight.

A big shot having one or two little maids beside him was normal.

At first, Chinjao didn't pay attention to Nami.

But after a moment, something suddenly flashed through his mind.

Wasn't this girl the Lightning Fruit user from the newspaper?

Looking at little Nami again, he saw that she was wearing handcuffs.

Chinjao had experience and recognized them.

"Sea-Prism Stone handcuffs?"

White Ghost smoked the cigar Nami had lit and opened the book.

The first thing he saw was:

Hasshoken Training Method.

White Ghost did not continue reading. Instead, he glanced at Sai and Boo behind Chinjao.

"You want them to board my ship?"

Chinjao nodded honestly, his face calm.

"That is indeed what this old man intends."

White Ghost looked at Chinjao.

"Aren't you people from Lampfire? Why do you want to board my ship?"

Chinjao froze.

The two brothers behind him also froze, then frowned.

White Ghost stared fixedly at the expressions on all three faces.

If it had been someone else, and he suddenly said that, they would probably first look stunned, then pretend to think about it, and finally shake their heads.

But this grandfather-and-grandsons trio had simply frozen and continued frowning, as if they were genuinely trying to understand what this "Lampfire" he mentioned was supposed to be.
