"I believe I appointed you as Assistant Manager."
Alucard smiled awkwardly.
"Ah… yes… I just thought… it was only temporary."
Kiara shook her head.
"Yes, but the meaning behind it is different." She spoke matter-of-factly. "When I'm gone, I will need someone who will have to handle this store permanently as a manager. So, while I was here, I have to evaluate your performance to see whether I could trust you with managing the story or let you be assistant manager. Regardless, we'll discuss your salary increase later."
Alucard's eyes widened.
"Pay raise? Another Promotion?₹"
Kiara nodded.
"You'll have additional responsibilities. So naturally… your compensation should increase as well."
Alucard almost looked overwhelmed.
"Thank you, Boss."
Kiara smiled faintly before waving everyone forward.
"Enough standing around. Let's go home."
