"W-What nonsense are you talking about?" Kiara said, folding her arms. Her ears flushed red in embarrassment. "Who's treating you like his second wife? It was just… a way of addressing you. It didn't mean anything."
Scarlett couldn't hold back her laughter anymore.
"Relax, I was only teasing you," she said with a warm smile. "I already told you before — I'm not interested in your husband."
She glanced at Arceus.
"Yes, he's quite handsome. I'll admit that. But he's far too weak for my taste. I've always wanted to marry someone who could actually defeat me in battle."
She looked back at Kiara with a playful glint in her eyes.
"So don't worry. You can keep all of his affection to yourself."
Arceus rubbed the bridge of his nose and let out a dry cough.
"Ahem…"
He waited until both women turned to look at him before speaking with a wounded expression.
"Princess," he said, pointing at himself, "I'm sitting right here. Could you maybe not insult me to my face?"
