After Lucian had disappeared into the darkness, the ancient underground chamber fell eerily silent.
The Necromancer King watched the tunnel entrance for a while before slowly laughing.
"Run," his deep voice echoed through the cavern. "Carry my message. I shall visit your Emperor soon enough."
Only after Lucian's presence had completely vanished did the old monarch finally turn around. His crimson eyes settled on the two unconscious androids lying among the shattered ruins.
A pleased smile spread across his skeletal face.
"My two little puppets…" He slowly approached them. "You fought exceptionally well. So much strength… so much craftsmanship. What a waste."
He chuckled quietly.
"No matter. You shall both serve me from today onward. All that remains… is removing your master's will… and replacing it with mine."
Using invisible waves of dark mana, the Necromancer King lifted both unconscious bodies and carried them deeper into the ruins.
