Chapter 871 - The Gathering of World Trees

The discovery of the Forgotten Root Network changed everything.

For days, the glowing roots beneath the Veyris Empire continued expanding.

Ancient pathways connected distant worlds.

Lost memories flowed through the network.

And for the first time in countless ages.

Ashvattha and the Universe Tree realized something shocking.

They were not alone.

Far beyond known worlds.

Far beyond ancient civilizations.

Other World Trees still existed.

Ashvattha stared at the glowing roots.

Impossible...

The Universe Tree smiled.

Not impossible.

Only forgotten.

The daughters immediately became excited.

"More World Trees?!"

asked Seralyth.

"How many?"

asked Lyra.

Ashvattha laughed.

"We're about to find out."

The First World Tree

The roots opened a portal.

Golden leaves drifted through the air.

A gentle figure stepped through.

Her name was Sylvaria.

She wore a flowing green-and-white gown.

Golden flowers bloomed in her hair.

Her smile was warm and welcoming.

The moment she saw Ashvattha.

she immediately hugged her.

"I MISSED YOU!"

Ashvattha nearly fell over.

The daughters laughed.

Sylvaria was incredibly friendly.

She greeted everyone.

Talked to everyone.

Complimented everyone.

Within ten minutes she had somehow become friends with half the Empire.

Wukong received twelve cookies.

He approved.

The Second World Tree

Another portal opened.

A small figure peeked through.

Then immediately hid again.

Everyone blinked.

The Universe Tree smiled.

"That's Verdelia."

A shy World Tree.

Verdelia slowly emerged.

Her silver-green hair covered part of her face.

Tiny glowing leaves floated around her.

She waved nervously.

"Hello..."

Then immediately hid behind Ashvattha.

The daughters thought she was adorable.

Seralyth spent the next hour trying to make her feel comfortable.

Eventually Verdelia smiled.

A tiny smile.

But a real one.

The Third World Tree

Another portal appeared.

A loud voice echoed through the gardens.

"WHO STOLE MY FRUIT?"

A woman jumped through the portal.

She had bright orange hair.

Golden eyes.

And enough energy for an entire galaxy.

Her name was Florastra.

The Funny World Tree.

Within five minutes she had:

Started three jokes.

Challenged Wukong to a prank war.

Accidentally scared several Imperial Knights.

Wukong immediately declared her his favorite World Tree.

Ashvattha already regretted introducing them.

The Fourth World Tree

The next portal opened.

Nothing happened.

Everyone waited.

Still nothing.

Five minutes passed.

Ten minutes passed.

Finally.

a voice emerged.

"Do I have to move?"

Silence.

The daughters blinked.

A woman slowly appeared while lying on a floating couch.

Her name was Dormira.

The Lazy World Tree.

She yawned.

"Traveling sounds exhausting."

"You teleported."

said Kael.

"Exactly."

Dormira closed her eyes.

The daughters laughed.

Even Ashvattha couldn't stop smiling.

The Fifth World Tree

The final portal appeared.

The ground shook.

Massive roots erupted across the gardens.

A powerful woman stepped forward.

Her name was Thornmother Eldara.

Unlike the others.

she immediately examined everyone around Kael.

Especially the daughters.

"Are these the children?"

Kaelignis blinked.

"Uh... yes?"

Eldara nodded.

"Good."

Then she stared toward the horizon.

As if preparing to fight anything that threatened them.

The daughters quickly realized something.

She was extremely protective.

The Overprotective World Tree.

When a training dummy accidentally fell near Seralyth.

Eldara nearly destroyed it.

"It looked suspicious."

"It was wood."

said Lyra.

"Exactly."

Nobody knew how to respond to that.

The World Tree Gathering

As evening arrived.

all the World Trees gathered beneath the stars.

Friendly Sylvaria.

Shy Verdelia.

Funny Florastra.

Lazy Dormira.

Protective Eldara.

Ashvattha.

And the Universe Tree.

The daughters watched in amazement.

They had expected ancient cosmic guardians.

Wise beings speaking in riddles.

Serious protectors of existence.

Instead.

they found a giant family.

One argued about fruit.

One took naps.

One hid behind trees.

One worried constantly.

One hugged everyone.

Seralyth laughed.

"World Trees are weird."

Ashvattha smiled.

Correct.

The Universe Tree laughed softly.

Very correct.

Nearby.

Kael watched the gathering.

The Empire kept growing.

Not through conquest.

Not through war.

But through connections.

Friendships.

Family.

And somewhere deep within the Forgotten Root Network.

ancient roots continued spreading.

As if more World Trees were still out there.

Waiting to be found.
