"You will participate in the first session with them as observers and, if I require it, as assistants. You will not interfere out of jealousy. You will not undermine the newcomers to prove a point. If you cannot manage that, say so now and the two leave tonight."
Mahir's ears twitched once. Ken's hands rested open on his knees, no longer fists.
"We can manage it, Master," Ken said after a short pause.
Mahir's voice was quieter. "We will follow."
Elara gave a single nod, as if a logistical detail had been confirmed rather than a significant shift in the household's private structure.
"Then it is decided. Julian, you may watch as you have been. You may suggest implements. You may not issue orders to any of them without my approval. The two newcomers will be brought in shortly. We begin with assessment only. No prolonged use tonight. I want to see baseline responses before anything more is built."
She turned toward the door that led to the outer chamber.
