Chapter 76 - "Crushed! A Total Defeat!."

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"W–Water! A tsunami!!!"

"Oh my god, run!"

Screams echoed across Marineford as countless Marines fled toward higher ground.

Facing a towering wall of water hundreds of meters tall, a colossal spiraling waterspout twisting through the sky, anyone would feel their soul tremble with fear.

"This… this is basically a natural disaster!"

A Marine shouted in despair, his entire body shaking.

Garp and Sengoku came to a sudden halt. When they saw the terrifying scene ahead, their expressions grew grave.

One of the reasons the Three Great Pirates had become legends was precisely this. Two of them possessed destructive power on the scale of natural calamities, while the last was a monster of pure combat strength, wielding unimaginable force.

"ROAR!"

A thunderous growl shook the air as the massive lion finally stepped forward, striding toward Marineford.

At this moment, Golden Lion Shiki's intentions were obvious. He meant to wipe Marineford off the map.

"Zehahaha!"

Wild laughter rang through Marine Headquarters. Wind and clouds churned, madness filling the air.

Even the atmosphere itself reeked of despair and apocalypse. Countless Marines felt their legs go weak.

"Kyle"

"I admit your strength!"

"But so what? Only Roger was worthy of being my opponent!"

Golden Lion Shiki roared.

His figure tore through the air, nearly a kilometer crossed in an instant. The twin blades in his hands slashed out without hesitation.

"Shishi Odoshi: Chimaki!"

Dense waves of sword energy split the curtain of rain, intertwining as they tore toward Kyle.

Kyle swayed slightly, dodging with movements so small they were almost imperceptible. The strikes he couldn't avoid passed straight through him as his body turned into lightning.

His form was cut into more than a dozen pieces, yet in the very next second, amid flashing arcs of electricity, he reassembled as if nothing had happened.

Then he faced Golden Lion head-on as Shiki charged straight at him.

"Zehahaha!"

"In this era, only the three of us stand at the top of the world!"

"You're still a wet-behind-the-ears brat. You don't belong up here!"

The mocking laughter rang in Kyle's ears, but his expression never changed.

He didn't care about Shiki praising himself while belittling others.

Lightning flashed in his right hand as a blade of thunder formed instantly. He brought it down in a clean, brutal slash.

Clang!

The sound of steel rang out as Kyle blocked Golden Lion's strike head-on.

"You can use swordsmanship too?"

Shiki's pupils shrank as he felt the sheer power carried by that lightning blade.

"Just a little," Kyle replied calmly.

The two pulled back at the same time.

In a flash of light, they collided again.

Blades crashed together, shockwaves rippling outward. The aftereffects of their slashes tore through the buildings below, carving Marineford apart and causing large sections to collapse.

As for the tsunami advancing on Marine Headquarters, Kyle no longer had the luxury to worry about it.

Within his lightning domain, he could already see Zephyr, Sengoku, and Garp rushing over. Kuzan had moved as well, freezing massive stretches of seawater.

Golden Lion Shiki's assault on Marineford today was already doomed to end in failure.

More than that, with the help of his domain, Kyle could clearly sense every tremor in Shiki's body. The gaping hole in his right chest shuddered with each clash, dragging out ever more intense pain.

"No wonder you're one of the three legends," Kyle said after dozens of collisions, genuine admiration in his voice.

At this point, nearly all his stats were at their peak.

And yet, Shiki, already gravely wounded, could still clash with him again and again at full intensity.

A moment later—

"Give it up, Shiki!"

"This is where it ends for you today!"

Kyle's voice turned cold.

"You've got to be kidding!"

"You think someone like you can make me admit defeat?"

Golden Lion Shiki roared, rage blazing in his eyes.

His twin blades swung again, gathering terrifying power.

But this time, Kyle retreated, refusing to meet him in close combat.

"You know your own condition better than anyone!"

"You're not far from your limit!"

At those words, Shiki's heart sank.

"You little brat!!!"

He saw Kyle raise his right hand and extend a finger.

"Two hundred million volts."

"Discharge."

Blue lightning surged forth, reaching Shiki in an instant.

The terrifying speed forced Shiki to dodge desperately. The bolt grazed past his ear and shot off into the distance.

But Kyle's attack was far from over. If anything, it had only just begun.

His finger tapped again and again, lightning transforming into dense beams of electricity that blanketed nearly a kilometer of space, all firing toward Shiki.

"Damn it!"

Shiki cursed as his expression darkened.

His body twisted and shifted nonstop, yet he still couldn't avoid being struck.

After all, there was a hole in his chest, pain wracking his body, and he had just endured a brutal series of high-intensity clashes with Kyle.

Fighting a man who controlled lightning meant constant high-speed, high-frequency exchanges that drained the mind and body relentlessly.

Boom!

Shiki's body shuddered. Numbness spread through him, his movements slowing.

Then came another bolt. And another.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Countless streaks of lightning struck him one after another, leaving his body convulsing uncontrollably.

Below, Kuzan continued freezing the sea. Standing atop the highest point of ice, two figures looked up at the battle in the sky, their expressions heavy and conflicted.

"The Rumble-Rumble Fruit is called the strongest of the Logia types," Sengoku said quietly.

"So Kyle ate that fruit, huh…"

"Looks like we won't need to step in," Garp said, his tightly furrowed brow finally relaxing into a grin.

"Your disciple may have already reached the same level as you," Sengoku added softly.

"Hahahahaha!"

"That's my disciple!"

Garp laughed loudly.

At that moment, their eyes sharpened as all their attention snapped back to the two figures clashing in the sky.

Kyle suddenly vanished.

When he reappeared, he was already above Golden Lion's head.

His right hand spread open, five fingers extended. Blue light exploded in his palm as a massive pillar of lightning burst forth.

"Eight hundred million volts."

"Divine Punishment!"

Boom!

Blinding light once again illuminated the skies over Marineford.

The lightning pillar, seemingly piercing heaven and earth, engulfed Golden Lion completely, as though subjecting him to an unimaginable judgment from the gods themselves.

When the light faded, Golden Lion, smoke rising from his body, snapped his head up and forced his eyes open.

"You damn brat!!"

Kyle's face remained emotionless.

Wearing seastone gloves, his massive hand slammed down, gripping Shiki by the head.

In an instant, Shiki's expression changed drastically. His strength drained away, his body going limp.

"Bastard!!"

"Seastone?!"

The next second, Kyle tightened his grip and drove downward.

"Straight to the bottom!"

Golden Lion Shiki shot downward like a cannonball, slammed straight into the freshly frozen ice below.

Not far away, Kuzan slowly raised his head, shock written all over his face.

When the cold wind swept across Marineford, the entire place erupted.

Vice Admiral Kyle, after capturing Roger, had achieved yet another astonishing feat.

In a direct confrontation, he had utterly crushed and captured Golden Lion Shiki.

In a flash of lightning, Kyle appeared on the ice. He looked down at Shiki lying there unconscious and let out a long breath.

One-on-one.

Golden Lion Shiki.

Completely defeated.

"..."
