Jace and his friends arrived at the cave entrance.
Cold wind blew on their faces. Snowflakes danced non-stop in the air. The sky was gray and without sunlight. The sun wasn't even visible.
The ground was filled with one singular color of white.
A young woman within the group scraped her knife onto a specialized torch. It immediately caught on fire and released a heat source to the people within the area.
The torch formed a visible bubble that blocked the cold outside and illuminated the area.
"The weather seems warmer today. The torch can last for about thirty minutes. We have fifty-one of them. We can last about twenty-five and a half hour." Miriam said.
Jace pulled his goggles over his eyes. These were made with a special type of lenses that granted the user night vision in dim light or darkness.
"Put your nightglasses on. We need to find a source of Red Coals. The survival of our village depends on that."
