"I don't know what Alisha heard but Bernard wasn't calling anyone to ask about you. He wants you here, Elena. You were the first person he asked for when he woke up. If he wants you, why would he look for you? Why would he risk his own life to save you? Why would he move heaven and high water to make sure that you are okay?" I wanted to believe his words but they weren't coming from the lips that I needed to hear them from. Bernard acknowledged that we were mates but he had done nothing beyond that.
