Cecilia glanced at Angela from behind her veil. The fine silk obscured the movement of her eyes, but she didn't want Angela to miss the look, so she clicked her tongue against her cheek and let the corner of her mouth curl upward, signalling her.
She knew that Angela, her best friend, would've caught it immediately even if her look was obscured with the veil. They were that close. The curl on her lips made Angela's own smile bloom like a flower in the sun. "Ehehe."
"Did you do it?!" Cecilia burst into laughter.
"I did it!" Angela burst into laughter too, her voice tangling with Cecilia's in a giddy harmony.
The two squealed in pure, childish joy.
