Chapter 311 - Chapter 311 Nanahoshi: I know you, Emiya Shirou, because I watched Fate.

Shirou woke up from being out cold, and several days had passed.

The side effects of Unlimited Blade Works on him were only in his mind. His body wasn't really hurt, so Shirou quickly got back to normal and went back to doing the same old things.

But, this fight with the Demon Lord did change things after all.

First, the others at the magic school were clearly showing him a lot of respect.

From the teachers to the students, almost no one dared to act disrespectful to him anymore. Some would even get nervous when they saw him from far away.

This was definitely because of what happened when Shirou fought the Demon Lord.

Even though hardly anyone saw the actual fight, everyone knew that Shirou had stopped the Demon Lord and kept him from causing more trouble.

After it was over, Badigadi kept saying that he was the one who lost and Shirou was the one who won. Because of this, most people thought Shirou was super strong, even if they didn't think he really beat the Demon Lord.

The magic school wasn't as extreme as the Holy Land of Swords, but it was still a place that respected strong people.

Now, Shirou was basically the most respected person in the whole magic school, no question.

Linia and Pursena, the beast-people who had bothered Shirou before, and those people from the student council were trembling with fear.

When Shirou woke up, the first people he saw weren't Rudeus or Ariel, but these guys he had taught a lesson to before.

Linia, Pursena, and the student council members all came to apologize with gifts.

The two cat-girls even bowed down to the ground, offering to give their bodies to Shirou as an apology.

Shirou definitely turned down this crazy offer.

But for some reason, even though he said no to the cat-girls, rumors started spreading around school that he was doing bad things to Linia and Pursena.

The worst part was that Linia and Pursena were going along with it, making the rumors seem true. They even said that being Shirou's woman was the honor of their lives.

These crazy stories were so ridiculous that Shirou didn't even bother to pay attention. He just ignored the two cat-girls and their nonsense.

Besides the way most people at the magic school were treating him, the people he knew well also changed their attitude.

Headmaster Jinas was very interested in the Unlimited Blade Works that Shirou used. As soon as Shirou recovered, he came to Shirou to try to study the power of the Reality Marble.

Shirou was also very interested in his own Unlimited Blade Works, but the last time he tried to use it, he failed. This made him realize that he didn't have control over it yet.

Actually, Shirou had already guessed this before.

The last time he fought the Dragon God, Shirou didn't successfully use Unlimited Blade Works. Instead, Servant Emiya took over his body and released the Reality Marble.

When Shirou was trying to use Unlimited Blade Works, he felt something strange, like Unlimited Blade Works was hurting him.

Now that he had actually used the power, he was definitely getting hurt by it.

He was worried about this and didn't know how to get the power of Unlimited Blade Works back.

After all, it was the strongest power he could get right now, the peak of Servant Emiya's power.

If he wanted to challenge the Dragon God, he definitely needed the power of Unlimited Blade Works.

So Shirou tried his best to look through all kinds of information to figure out why his power was becoming uncontrollable.

That's when he found the note that Silent had left for him, inviting him to meet in the room on the top floor of the research building.

Shirou was curious about this mysterious magician, Silent. He was interested in Silent's powerful magic circles and thought they could help him create a real Avalon.

After getting himself ready, he decided to go and visit Silent.

Before going to the meeting, Shirou did some research on Silent.

Silent Sevenstar.

This name wasn't well-known in the magic school, but many of the things Silent had done were known by many people in the world.

First, Silent had helped the magic school by personally improving the food in the cafeteria. Silent set up a way to get food from the Asura Kingdom, so the school could have ingredients that it couldn't get in the northern lands before.

Silent also invented a new dish called Cori Soup.

It was a soup made by boiling potatoes, carrots, and onions in a pot. Then, a seasoning made from ten different spices was added. Finally, bread was used to dip into the thick, brown soup.

People in this world might think this dish was new and interesting, but Shirou looked strange when he saw it.

That's because the dish Silent made had another name in his world: curry.

Even though the curry made in the school cafeteria didn't taste like the curry he remembered, the way it was made was very similar.

Besides that, Silent also changed the magic school's uniform. Silent used connections with designers and magic workshops in the Asura Kingdom to make new uniforms.

People used to think the magic school was a dirty place with all kinds of races. But Silent made everyone wear the same uniform, which changed people's minds and made the school look better.

Also, Silent invented the blackboard for classrooms.

With blackboards, people could just turn chalk into powder and write on a black board. This made classes go much smoother.

Besides all of this, Silent did many other things that changed the world.

Because of these achievements, the magician's guild gave Silent the title of A-rank guild member.

After hearing these stories, Shirou looked very strange, because he knew about all the things Silent had done.

These were things that most people in this world didn't know about, but he did.

Because of this, Shirou couldn't help but be suspicious of Silent's identity.

He already knew about the true nature of his younger brother, Rudeus. So even if he met someone like Rudeus, he was prepared…

But even so, the thought that Silent might be a Reincarnated Person made Shirou hesitant to contact Silent. He felt like something bad might happen.

That's why he had been putting off meeting Silent.

Now, Silent had invited him, so Shirou decided to finally meet Silent.

He followed the address on the letter to the floor where the research building was and went to the very end, gently knocking on the door.

"…Come in."

A voice came from the room that was clearer than he expected.

Shirou was surprised and opened the door. He saw that the research room was filled with books and piles of paper. There were magic tools of unknown use all over the place, and mountains of magic crystals and stones.

In the center of the room, Silent was sitting in a seat, looking at a pile of papers on the desk in front of him.

When Shirou saw Silent's face, he was completely shocked.

He realized that Silent was a girl. More importantly, he had seen her before, when he met the Dragon God, Orsted. She was the girl who was with the Dragon God.

Black hair, a white mask…

Exactly the same as before.

"!!!"

In that moment, Shirou thought this was all a trick by the Dragon God. The Dragon God had tricked him into coming here to kill him like before.

To protect himself, he instinctively grabbed the long sword on his waist. But because that wasn't enough, he instinctively projected Kanshou and Bakuya.

Thinking about the strength Orsted had shown, Shirou started sweating.

He was planning to fight the Dragon God, Orsted, but he wasn't ready yet.

He couldn't even use Unlimited Blade Works right now, so there was no way he could beat Orsted.

With no other choice, he looked at the black-haired girl in front of him.

He remembered that the Dragon God seemed to care about her. If he could capture her and use her as a threat…

The thought flashed through Shirou's mind, but he couldn't bring himself to do such an evil thing.

Even though he wasn't a hero of justice anymore, that didn't mean he had to completely abandon justice and do things against his conscience.

On the other side, seeing how nervous Shirou was, the black-haired girl said helplessly, "Hey… Orsted isn't here. If he was, he wouldn't try to kill you indirectly. He would just kill you directly."

"That's true."

Hearing the black-haired girl's words, Shirou nodded, agreeing with the logic.

With Orsted's strength, he could probably kill Shirou with just a finger. He wouldn't need to go to so much trouble.

Shirou sighed in relief and relaxed, looking at the black-haired girl in front of him. "So, you're Silent? You're the one who wanted to see me?"

"That's right."

"Where's Orsted?"

"He's busy, so he left me here and left."

"I see…"

Shirou didn't doubt Silent's words. She had no reason to lie.

The atmosphere relaxed a little.

"What's the purpose of seeing me?"

Shirou looked at the black-haired girl in front of him and asked, "You probably remember that the Dragon God almost killed me, right?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that."

Silent said sincerely, "I didn't think that just one sentence would make him want to kill you. I almost got you killed. I'm really sorry."

"Well, I didn't react correctly either."

The reason the Dragon God attacked Shirou was because Shirou had a strange reaction when he mentioned the word Hitogami.

The Dragon God knew that Shirou was connected to Hitogami, so he attacked without hesitation.

Silent was the trigger, but the conflict wasn't her fault.

Shirou wouldn't blame her for no reason.

"You're a kind person, just like I thought."

"Like you thought?"

Shirou felt like there was something strange about Silent's words.

Silent then took out a piece of paper, pointing at the words on it and saying, "I wanted to ask, do you recognize this?"

Shirou looked at the paper and saw two names written on it: [Shinohara Akito] and [Kuroki Seiji].

They were Japanese names.

The moment he saw them, Shirou realized who Silent was. He said, "I don't recognize them. I don't know anyone with those names."

"You don't recognize them, not you don't know them. I see…"

Silent looked at Shirou with a complicated expression, muttering, "I thought you looked familiar when I first saw you, but I was still shocked when I realized who you were. What's going on with this world?"

"What do you mean?"

"How should I put it? First, I'll tell you what I know. If I'm not mistaken, you're Emiya Shirou, right?"

Hearing someone say his name directly, Shirou was definitely stunned.

He had never mentioned his full name to anyone in this world.

Only once.

"Did Hitogami tell you my name?"

Shirou asked the girl.

But she shook her head, answering, "I've never met this Hitogami."

"Then how do you know my name?"

"Because I watched the Fate anime."

"???"

Shirou had a confused look on his face, as if he was about to ask, "What are you talking about?"

Silent also said helplessly, "Well, I didn't expect anime knowledge to be useful in a situation like this, but I did watch that anime. I even watched the whole series, so it's not strange that I know who you are. Yeah, not strange at all."

"What's not strange about it?"

Shirou really didn't know what to say.

Next, Silent spent several minutes explaining to Shirou how she learned about the character Emiya Shirou from the anime, and how she realized his true identity after watching Shirou's fight with the Dragon God.

The situation was so strange that it took Shirou a long time to accept that he was a character in the anime Silent had watched.

But after all, he had traveled to another world, so it probably wasn't a big deal to say that he was a character in an anime.

Okay, it was still hard to accept…

At the same time, Shirou was confused about why Rudeus, who was also a Reincarnated Person, didn't know who he was.

Were Rudeus and Silent not from the same world? Or were they not from the same time period, so Rudeus hadn't watched the Fate anime?

There were too many possible reasons, but Shirou really didn't want to know.

Silent didn't seem to want to talk too much about this strange topic either, so she quickly changed the subject, saying, "I'm sorry, I probably know more about you than you think, Emiya Shirou. So as a reward, I'll introduce myself to you too."

The black-haired girl took off the white mask, revealing a delicate face that looked like a typical Japanese high school student.

After showing her face, she said quickly, "My name is Nanahoshi Shizuka. I'm a Japanese person who traveled to this world. I've been using the name Silent Sevenstar lately. I'm working hard to return to my original world."
