It became late at night.
Boom, thud.
Heavy boulders pounded the wooden fence. The fence the Legion of Wrath had diligently built to serve as the outer wall was mercilessly smashed to pieces by the boulders the humans hurled.
"It's breached."
Eila, perched atop the rock wall, surveyed the battle and clicked her tongue. Once the fence had been knocked down enough that around three hundred troops could advance all together, the humans very slowly raised their shields and began trampling over the fence's debris.
"And the evacuation of the residents?"
"Everyone's come inside Ras Vegas-ras."
"Well done. Even those living outside the castle are the Master's people, so we can't go killing them as we please."
Some of the existing prisoners had wished to live in Ras Vegas's outer city. They'd packed up since dawn and moved into Ras Vegas, and the shantytown between the outer and inner walls had been mercilessly destroyed by the boulders flung from the catapults.
