"Divine Proclamation!"
With crimson pupils filled with killing intent, Olatayo held the Guaílí Sword in his right hand. A golden vortex formed in his left palm, twisting violently as a long, blood red spear emerged from it. The weapon looked freshly soaked in blood. The moment it appeared, he gripped it tightly and hurled it forward without hesitation.
In a blink, a streak of crimson light tore through the sky like a falling meteor.
Divine Proclamation, also called the Spear of Destiny, possessed terrifying power. Once thrown, the spear moved like a meteor that could never miss its target.
No matter where the enemy fled, once they were locked on by the divine spear, it would track them relentlessly until it pierced straight through their heart and pinned their body in the void.
This was the terrifying power of the Gate of Babylon.
Inside that golden gate existed countless treasures and divine artifacts. Each weapon had its own ability, and every one of them carried horrifying destructive force.
Whoosh, whoosh...
At the same time, the torrent of eighteen different weapons continued to surge forward without stopping, filling the sky like a storm of steel.
Yet among that rain of weapons, the blood red spear shone the brightest.
But this time, Lucien was simply too fast.
His body cut through the rain of weapons like a phantom. The blades, spears, and axes crashing toward him failed to break through his defense. The moment Divine Proclamation locked onto him, his Observation Haki with future sight had already predicted its path.
Lucien calmly shifted his body and avoided the deadly spear with ease.
The wolf tooth club in his hand transformed into a crystal version of itself. Hardening covered the weapon while intense heat surged from its surface. Armament Haki coated it completely as golden lightning crackled around it and thick steam rose violently.
With terrifying destructive power, the club smashed down toward Olatayo like a collapsing mountain.
"Sweeping Thousands of Armies!"
The surrounding void trembled violently as if it were about to collapse. Olatayo's pupils shrank the moment he felt the overwhelming danger approaching him.
"Star of Creation!"
He gripped the Guaílí Sword tightly. The gears embedded within the blade began spinning rapidly, creating distortions in space around him. Reality itself twisted as cracks of warped space formed.
For a brief moment, the world seemed to lose all sound.
Then an extreme white light exploded outward.
The atmosphere that had gathered around them was violently pushed away once again. Beneath Olatayo's feet, the enormous crater continued to expand while shattered mountains and ruined valleys rose from the ground.
"Die!"
Olatayo's face twisted with madness as he blocked the descending crystal club with the Guaílí Sword. A confident smile appeared on his face, convinced that victory was within his grasp.
However, crimson light flashed inside Lucien's amethyst eyes.
Eight crystal thorns suddenly burst out from Lucien's tailbone. At the same time, he flipped his left hand forward.
Behind him, a gigantic divine dragon nearly one hundred thousand meters long appeared in the sky.
Clang!
Golden lightning spread through the air.
The eight crystal thorns moved like living chains. They wrapped tightly around the incoming Divine Proclamation, trapping it completely. Lucien had already foreseen the spear's trajectory with his future sight, so he prepared for it long before it arrived.
"How is that possible!"
Violent wind pressure continued to sweep across the battlefield. Olatayo's face froze as he stared in disbelief.
The blood red spear had stopped just one decimeter from Lucien's back.
Yet that tiny distance had been completely sealed off by the eight crystal thorns.
He had believed his sneak attack would succeed.
He never imagined it would fail so completely.
"Great Might Heavenly Dragon!"
A deafening dragon roar echoed through the sky.
Lucien's left palm slammed downward toward Olatayo with overwhelming force.
"Dáshětīng."
Olatayo reacted instantly.
His right hand held the Guaílí Sword to block the crystal club while his left hand drew out another weapon. It was a magnificent longsword where dark red and black colors twisted together like veins. A strange and ominous power surrounded the blade, radiating death and destruction.
"Full Counter!"
The cursed sword collided with Lucien's descending palm.
The massive divine dragon behind Lucien vanished instantly.
However, Lucien's crystal coated palm did not stop.
It smashed against the blade, crushed through the defense, and slammed directly into Olatayo's chest.
Crack.
The golden armor covering Olatayo shattered instantly.
Blood sprayed from his mouth and nose as his body shot downward like a falling meteor. He crashed violently into the ground below.
Boom!
A massive explosion erupted as a mushroom cloud rose into the sky. The surrounding land shook violently like an earthquake.
High in the sky, Lucien slowly withdrew his hand.
His crystal left palm began to darken. A strange and ominous power crawled across it like a disease, eroding his cells and attempting to break through his defenses.
Lucien did not hesitate for even a moment.
He raised his right hand and sliced off his own left arm at the shoulder.
Scalding steam burst into the air.
Light spread across the wound, and within two breaths a completely new arm regenerated from the shoulder.
Dáshětīng, the cursed sword, carried a terrifying curse of destruction. It was a true demonic blade capable of corrupting everything it touched.
At the same time, the Divine Proclamation trapped by the crystal thorns turned into countless light particles and vanished.
"Cough... cough..."
Far below, Olatayo slowly climbed out of the deep crater where he had crashed. Mud and blood covered his body as he spat out another mouthful of blood and looked up toward the sky.
His face was filled with dark fury.
Lucien's strength had completely exceeded his expectations.
Originally, he believed this battle would end easily.
Now he realized that killing this monster would require paying a heavy price.
"You forced my hand."
"Exchange for Recovery Pill, True."
"Upgrade Teleportation skill."
A sharp pain shot through Olatayo's chest as all of his remaining exchange points were instantly consumed.
But if he killed Lucien, he would gain one hundred thousand points. Everything would be worth it.
The moment the Recovery Pill entered his body, his aura began to surge rapidly. Within seconds, his condition returned to peak strength.
At the same time, his Teleportation skill upgraded to Level 2.
Its range expanded to two hundred meters instantly.
In the sky, Lucien floated silently with an indifferent expression.
It was not that he didn't want to stop Olatayo.
He simply couldn't.
Lucien had already noticed something dangerous.
Olatayo possessed the ability to reflect energy based attacks.
Because of that, Lucien could no longer use techniques like Kamehameha or Great Might Heavenly Dragon freely. The divine dragon technique was partly made of energy, which meant it could be countered.
Earlier, Olatayo had reflected the dragon attack.
However, he could not reflect Lucien's physical strike.
Lucien's physical combat ability was terrifying.
A clear thought formed in his mind.
If he wanted to kill this man, he would need to crush him using pure physical power.
Lucien gripped the wolf tooth club tightly. Golden lightning crackled around the weapon.
Instead of regret, excitement flickered in his eyes.
His favorite hobby had always been brutally beating enemies to death with his bare hands.
Clap.
Lucien slowly descended through the sky and stopped in mid air.
He looked down at Olatayo, sensing the surge of power rising from his opponent. Then he calmly snapped his left fingers.
Suddenly, tragic and intense battle music echoed across the battlefield.
Olatayo's expression changed instantly.
Lucien's aura surged upward like a raging storm.
The ground began trembling violently.
Dark storm clouds rippled across the sky while the land centered around F City shook continuously, the tremors spreading all the way to the horizon.
Olatayo felt his heart sink.
This monster had been hiding his true strength the entire time.
"Damn it."
A deep sense of danger filled his mind.
He had underestimated Lucien far too much.
Lucien watched him calmly, red light flickering within his amethyst eyes as he predicted the next two seconds of the future.
"Star of Creation, die!"
Without any warning, Olatayo attacked.
In an instant he appeared directly above Lucien's head. The Guaílí Sword tore open space itself, descending like a blade meant to split heaven and earth.
This was true teleportation.
No one should have been able to react to it.
Time seemed to slow down.
The ruthless smile on Olatayo's face was clearly visible.
Clang!
In a completely impossible moment, Lucien raised the wolf tooth club above his head and blocked the descending sword.
At the same time, his crystal left hand shot forward.
Armament Haki burst from his fingertips like a blade.
The attack pierced straight through the golden armor.
Olatayo did not even have time to use Shinra Tensei.
Lucien's hand stabbed through his chest, tearing through his heart before bursting out from his back.
At the same moment, the eight crystal thorns that had been prepared earlier shot forward.
They impaled Olatayo's body like a monstrous porcupine.
The thorns began devouring his life force greedily, like a beast swallowing its prey whole.
Olatayo could not escape.
Lucien's arm and the thorns wrapped around him like a giant octopus.
One of the sharp thorns slid across Olatayo's neck like a razor blade.
Everything happened within a single instant.
"How... is that possible..."
The moment death arrived, Olatayo's head separated from his body.
His flying head still carried a fierce expression of disbelief.
Puff.
A crystal thorn pierced through the back of his skull and began absorbing everything rapidly.
Lucien's left hand, which had pierced through the chest, was now wrapped in soul power.
He slowly pulled it out.
Along with the movement, a terrified and struggling soul was dragged out from the corpse.
"No...!"
Olatayo's soul screamed in hysterical fear.
Even at this moment, he still could not understand why he had lost.
And lost so completely.
It was a death that arrived without explanation.
Lucien stared coldly at the struggling soul in his grasp.
There was no mercy in his eyes.
