"Come on."
Beerus issued a casual invitation as he gently floated upward.
Gohan looked up, his body sinking slightly.
The very next second—
Boom—!
The steel deck beneath him was stomped inward, spiderweb cracks spreading instantly.
Gohan's figure transformed into a crimson streak of light, shooting straight into the sky.
Moments later, everyone below could only stare upward as two lights faced each other in the gloomy clouds.
"So… so powerful! Is this what a battle between Gods looks like?!"
The fight began.
Beerus's figure vanished without warning.
Gohan instantly tensed.
After becoming a Super Saiyan God, his perception had improved countless times—yet he could only barely catch a trace of a purple afterimage.
A violent gust struck from his right.
Before he could think, Gohan's body reacted on instinct.
He twisted sharply to the left, his right arm muscles tensing as his elbow rose like a shield.
Bang!!!
A muffled but terrifying roar exploded in the sky.
A visible white shockwave burst outward from their collision, sweeping in all directions.
Below them, the ocean was pressed down dozens of meters, forming a massive depression.
Gohan felt a crushing force slam into his elbow, his arm going numb instantly.
His body spun uncontrollably for thousands of meters before he barely managed to steady himself.
"Not a bad reaction."
Beerus's leisurely voice sounded right beside him.
Alarm bells rang in Gohan's mind.
He instantly spun around, launching a whip kick blazing with crimson divine flames.
But he hit nothing.
Beerus appeared above him like a ghost.
"Not bad. Much stronger than that Super Saiyan Three."
Beerus lightly stepped on Gohan's shoulder.
Boom!
Gohan plummeted toward the sea like a meteor.
"Gohan!" Goku shouted anxiously.
Just before hitting the water, Gohan forcibly twisted his body and stomped hard in midair with both feet.
The air exploded beneath him with a thunderous crack.
Using the recoil, he halted his fall and shot back upward like red lightning.
This time, Gohan changed tactics.
He no longer waited passively.
He attacked.
Fists. Elbows. Knees. Kicks.
Crimson afterimages flooded the sky, completely engulfing Beerus.
Each strike carried terrifying power.
The deafening impact sounds merged into a single continuous roar.
From the ground, it looked like a massive red firework had detonated in the heavens.
"Amazing! Gohan's suppressing him!" Trunks shouted excitedly.
Vegeta's face was filled with shock.
Even he had to admit it—Gohan was truly powerful right now.
Only Loren shook his head slightly.
Suppressing him?
Beerus was just playing along.
From Loren's perspective, Beerus hadn't moved an inch.
Every punch stopped just one millimeter short.
That single millimeter was an unbridgeable chasm.
Beerus even yawned in boredom.
"Is that all?" His voice echoed calmly.
He extended two fingers and, amid the storm of attacks, precisely pinched Gohan's fist.
It felt like being clamped between two divine mountains.
Gohan couldn't move it at all.
"Too bad," Beerus said flatly.
"It's still not enough."
He applied the slightest pressure.
Crack.
"Ah—!"
Gohan screamed in pain, immediately firing an energy blast from his free hand at point-blank range.
Beerus simply blew a breath.
The attack was scattered instantly.
Gohan's eyes widened in horror.
Normal attacks were useless.
He had only one option left.
Bet everything.
Gohan wrenched free and retreated rapidly, stabilizing himself in midair.
He brought his hands to his waist.
Crimson divine energy surged violently.
"Oh?" Goku's eyes lit up. "Is he using that?!"
"Ka—!"
Gohan's voice thundered.
"Me—!"
A pale blue energy sphere formed, wrapped in blazing crimson divine flames.
"Ha—!"
The atmosphere of the entire planet trembled.
"Me—!!!"
An unprecedented, colossal beam tore through the clouds, blasting straight toward Beerus!
For an instant, the world was filled with nothing but blue-red light.
"Did it work…?" Krillin whispered nervously.
Beerus didn't dodge.
Rumble—!!!
The beam struck him head-on.
But it couldn't advance even an inch.
"A nice firework."
Beerus's aura flared.
He punched forward.
The Kamehameha reversed direction—faster than before!
"What?!"
Boom!!!
Gohan was swallowed by his own attack.
The light faded.
Gohan had reverted to normal, falling helplessly from the sky.
"Gohan!" Piccolo shot upward, catching him midair.
It was over.
A complete defeat.
Even the Super Saiyan God couldn't harm Beerus at all.
Beerus descended slowly, landing back on the deck.
He raised his hand.
Everyone's hearts froze.
Was Earth about to be destroyed?
"Grrrrr…"
A sudden stomach growl broke the tension.
Beerus paused.
He rubbed his flat belly and frowned.
"Ah… I'm hungry."
He lowered his hand.
"Forget it. Fighting is exhausting."
Beerus looked toward Bulma, licking his lips.
"Hey, Earth woman. If your planet's food can satisfy this Lord… Then maybe I'll consider sparing it."
Silence fell.
Then—
Relief.
Bulma reacted instantly.
"F-Food?! Yes! Of course!"
She spun around and shouted at the trembling chefs hiding nearby.
"Did you hear that?! Move! All of you! Sushi! Tempura! Grilled meat! Desserts—everything!"
"Hurry up!!!"
The entire party venue exploded into frantic motion.
