Run away?
There was no path of retreat left behind him.
Gohan clenched his small fists tightly.
He raised his head.
"I understand, Teacher!"
"Bring it on!"
"Very good."
Loren nodded in approval.
"He has resolve. He's a good child."
"Then, as a reward for gathering that courage…"
Loren's figure vanished from his original spot.
Gohan's pupils shrank violently.
The next instant—
An overwhelming force slammed straight into his abdomen.
"Pfft—!"
Fresh blood sprayed from Gohan's mouth.
His body was sent flying like a kite with a snapped string, crashing hard into the ground.
So painful…
Just as Gohan's consciousness was about to fade—
A Senzu Bean was placed into his mouth.
BOOM—!!!
A geyser-like surge of power erupted from the depths of his body!
Gohan jolted upright, staring at his hands as energy flooded every cell.
Is this… the feeling of becoming stronger?
Pain—
Exchanged for power.
Teacher wasn't lying.
Loren looked at him calmly.
"How do you feel?"
"Very… very strong!"
Gohan answered excitedly.
"You think this is strong already?"
Loren chuckled softly.
"Don't rush."
"This is just the appetizer."
"The real hell hasn't even started."
Before he finished speaking, Loren vanished again.
In the endless white void, time lost all meaning.
It could have been a day.
It could have been a month.
Gohan no longer remembered how many times his body had been completely destroyed.
Each time—
Unbearable pain.
Then—
Ecstasy, as power flooded back after swallowing a Senzu Bean.
Fear and resistance turned into numbness.
Numbness turned into acceptance.
And finally—
Anticipation.
Bang!
Gohan was kicked away again, his body carving a long trench across the white ground.
He struggled to lift his head, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.
His eyes were burning bright.
"Teacher…"
"Again… again!"
Loren walked over and tossed him another Senzu Bean.
"Eat."
Gohan swallowed it instantly.
Power surged once more.
Through this unknown period of repeated "self-destruction," Gohan's base combat power had already surpassed one hundred million.
"Very good."
Loren looked at Gohan's eyes.
There was a hint of madness now.
And brutality.
"The growth of power has addicted you."
"But remember this, Gohan."
"Uncontrolled power isn't strength."
"It's disaster."
"Your current state is extremely dangerous."
Gohan froze and looked down at his hands.
Yes.
Right now, he felt an urge to destroy—
To tear something apart completely.
"Next, the training changes."
Loren spoke calmly.
"Forget the near-death bug."
"From now on, you learn control."
He snapped his fingers.
Boom!
Golden ki surged from Loren's body.
But it was different from anything Gohan had ever seen.
No violence.
No pressure.
The power was perfectly restrained, locked entirely within his body.
Loren stood there like a calm, glowing sun.
"This… this is…?"
Gohan felt no pressure at all.
That made it terrifying.
"Super Saiyan Full Power," Loren said.
"It's different from Vegeta's."
"Vegeta's is explosive."
"This one seals everything inside."
"Treat the transformation as your base state."
"Eat. Sleep. Walk. Even take a dump."
"You maintain this form."
"When you can calmly read a manga while transformed—"
"You've passed."
"Take your anger back into your heart."
"Turn it into fuel."
"Don't let it burn your reason away."
From that day onward—
There were no more screams in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Instead, two golden figures performed absurdly mundane activities.
Meditation.
Eating.
Sleeping.
Loren even pulled out a deck of cards and taught Gohan how to play poker.
Slowly—
Gohan changed.
The wild golden aura around him softened.
Settled.
Merged into his body.
Finally—
The golden ki vanished completely.
His hair remained gold.
But his presence was calm—like still water.
He succeeded.
Super Saiyan Full Power.
[Gohan (Super Saiyan Full Power) Combat Power: 5,000,000,000]
"Not bad," Loren said.
"You've done very well."
"You're even more talented than Goku."
"At this level, even Goku and Vegeta together wouldn't beat you."
Gohan stood up and bowed deeply.
"Thank you, Teacher."
"Don't thank me yet."
Loren stretched lazily.
"Full Power is only an entry ticket."
"You're still nowhere near beating a 35-billion monster."
Gohan's eyes sharpened instantly.
"Teacher, what should I do?"
Loren grinned.
"It's simple."
"Do you really think Super Saiyan is the limit?"
"Do you think there's nothing above it?"
"Of course there is."
He pointed at himself.
"And then at Gohan."
"The wall of Super Saiyan is high."
"And thick."
"But it's not the ceiling."
"Today, I'll teach you how to—"
"Smash through it."
Loren's expression turned deadly serious.
"What comes next will be a hundred times more painful."
"Before, it was physical torment."
"This time—"
"It's mental."
"Are you ready?"
Gohan took a deep breath.
No hesitation.
"I'm ready, Teacher!"
Loren nodded slowly.
"Good."
"Then let me see…"
"When you personally watch your father…"
"When you watch Uncle Piccolo…"
"Being absorbed inch by inch by Cell…"
"Melting into green sludge…"
"To what heights—"
"Your anger can truly rise."
