Chapter 41 - Chapter 40: Now You Should Call Me — Super Vegeta!

"This is… a Super Saiyan!!!"

Golden light completely enveloped Vegeta's body.

As the Super Saiyan power erupted in full, his combat power surged explosively, soaring past 150 million.

The absolute pressure Frieza had imposed moments ago was crushed outright, disappearing without a trace.

Their eyes met.

Vegeta's lips curved into a mocking smile, his gaze filled with open teasing.

It was the same overwhelming suppression he had shown before—only now, amplified by Super Saiyan power, it was even more direct and merciless.

"You… you actually transformed?!" Frieza clenched his fists.

Even though he now clearly recognized the form as Super Saiyan, the sight still triggered violent emotional fluctuations within him.

As the Universe Emperor, Frieza had always feared the so-called Super Saiyan legend.

To eliminate that possibility, he had exterminated the Saiyan race without hesitation.

Yet he never imagined that a single oversight would lead to him nurturing his own greatest threat.

A dog growing up and biting its owner—

In Frieza's eyes, Vegeta had become the ultimate ungrateful wretch.

"Isn't it obvious, Frieza?" Vegeta said arrogantly. As his words fell, his aura intensified even further.

That pressure once again forced Frieza to feel the fear he had experienced earlier—the fear rooted in the oldest taboo of his clan:

Beware the Saiyan with golden hair.

Long ago, an ancestor of Frieza's race had died at the hands of a golden-haired Saiyan.

Frieza would never know that the death of that ancestor—Chilled—was inseparably connected to him.

The moment Bardock was killed by Frieza, a mysterious power sent him back to a distant era, creating the nightmare that haunted Frieza's clan and allowing the Super Saiyan legend to spread.

Frieza forced himself to calm down.

Even calmer.

So what if this was a Super Saiyan?!

He was Frieza—the Emperor of the Universe! His strength was nothing like that of his useless ancestors!

"Oh?" Vegeta narrowed his eyes.

"I think I see fear in your eyes again. What—are you already thinking about retreating before the fight even really begins?"

Frieza laughed coldly. "You really like joking, little Vegeta. You know nothing about the power of this king's final form!"

"Is that so?" Vegeta replied calmly. "Then show it to me. Just don't get knocked down in a few moves again—that would be boring."

He raised his hand, pointed his thumb at himself, and added coldly, "And let me remind you one more time. You should call me Super Vegeta now."

That gesture caused Frieza's killing intent to surge violently.

To extinguish Vegeta's arrogance, he would use absolute power.

"Very well," Frieza said slowly.

"Then this king will show you that even as a so-called Super Saiyan, you're nothing special in my eyes. I look forward to seeing you beg for mercy on your knees."

As he spoke, Frieza slowly raised his hand.

The atmosphere instantly grew suffocating.

Vegeta didn't speak.

Frieza didn't speak either.

The battlefield fell eerily silent, with only the sound of the wind echoing.

"Die!"

After a long pause, Frieza struck first.

A Death Beam shot from his fingertip, aimed straight at Vegeta's face.

Clang—!

A crisp, sharp sound rang out.

Vegeta casually lifted his hand and effortlessly dispersed the attack.

Frieza's expression turned dark and vicious. In the next instant, countless Death Beams poured out, bombarding Vegeta relentlessly.

Vegeta didn't even bother to move.

Although Frieza's final form unleashed nearly all his power, strengthening the Death Beams considerably, the force he was displaying was still only in the tens of millions.

He was still just as arrogant as ever.

Vegeta batted away every Death Beam with his bare hands, standing calmly in place, unmoving.

"He… blocked them all with one hand?"

Frieza's face filled with disbelief. He hadn't expected Vegeta to neutralize his attacks so easily.

"At this point, testing strength is pointless," Vegeta said coldly, his eyes narrowing.

"This is our final battle. All past grudges—let's settle them right now!"

With a dull thud, his body shot forward.

In an instant, Vegeta appeared right in front of Frieza, his fist already swinging.

Frieza felt overwhelming pressure crash down on him.

He immediately raised his arms to block—but he still underestimated the power behind that punch.

With a single blow, Frieza was sent flying.

This time, however, he didn't completely lose control.

Midair, Frieza adjusted his balance, flipped, landed on the ground, and immediately launched himself back toward Vegeta, counterattacking without hesitation.

Fists and legs collided again and again.

The battle shifted from the ground into the sky. Sonic booms rang out continuously as the power each of them used grew larger and larger.

Without question, Vegeta was suppressing Frieza the entire time.

No matter how much power Frieza unleashed, Vegeta always used just a little more, keeping him locked in place and unable to break through.

For a short while, this wasn't obvious—but as time passed, the pressure became suffocating.

For someone like Frieza, it was unbearable.

"Don't get carried away!!" veins bulged on Frieza's forehead as he finally realized he was being toyed with.

Suddenly, his power surged even further, and his attacks became far more vicious.

Every strike targeted vital points, showing absolutely no mercy.

This fighting style did create some pressure for Vegeta.

Unfortunately for Frieza, the power gap was simply too large.

In just a short time, Vegeta fully adapted to the rhythm, even using the opportunity to refine his own combat technique.

"I'm not getting carried away," Vegeta sneered.

"If anything, it's you—still hiding your strength even now, always thinking you're invincible after transforming."

"Since that's the case," he continued coldly, "I'll get a little serious and show you what real power looks like."

In an instant, Vegeta unleashed extreme speed.

He vanished completely from Frieza's sight.

"What?!" Frieza's pupils shrank. Realizing something was wrong, he froze, not daring to act recklessly.

Vegeta appeared behind him.

Back to back.

The battlefield fell silent once more.

For a brief moment, it was as if the battle itself had paused.
