Vegeta narrowed his eyes.
So Kakarot really had been hiding something.
He wanted to see it.
"Then show it. Don't disappoint me," Vegeta said calmly, maintaining his stance as if Goku's words meant nothing.
Goku smiled. "I won't disappoint you! This is a realm you can't reach yet. Watch closely, Vegeta."
The moment his words fell, Vegeta's expression turned serious.
Goku's aura changed instantly. The surge in power was so violent that Vegeta felt threatened.
And those words… a realm he couldn't reach yet.
That could only mean one thing.
Super Saiyan Third Stage.
"You've already reached Super Saiyan Third Stage… Well, it's twenty years in the future. After all that time, even in the Other World, you'd better have reached it. Otherwise, you'd be a complete failure," Vegeta thought coldly.
He steadied himself and focused on sensing Goku's energy.
Goku's power skyrocketed.
As Super Saiyan Second Stage was pushed to its absolute limit, a crushing pressure swept across the Other World. The clouds of the Yellow Springs churned violently like a raging storm.
This was Super Saiyan Second Stage Full Power.
The amplification exceeded 200 times.
Goku's combat power reached 30 billion.
Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory were all stunned.
They had never felt Goku release such terrifying energy before.
"This is my limit in Super Saiyan Second Stage! Next… is Super Saiyan Third Stage, which surpasses it completely! RAAAH!!!"
Goku roared.
His aura exploded outward like a tsunami, filling the entire Other World with overwhelming pressure.
Even Vegeta, whose power had reached 15 billion, was completely suppressed.
Goku's energy continued rising.
50 billion.
The golden light became blinding. Vegeta had to shield his eyes.
Then it stabilized.
Over 60 billion.
When the light faded, Goku stood in a brand-new form.
His golden hair flowed down to his waist. Thick lightning crackled around his body. His eyebrows were gone, his brow bone protruding sharply. His eyes carried a cold, dual-toned intensity.
He looked untouchable.
Super Saiyan 3.
Vegeta was stunned. So was everyone else.
Just looking at him created a sense of panic.
Vegeta knew it instantly. If Goku attacked right now, he wouldn't even have time to react. A casual strike would erase him.
"So this is Super Saiyan Third Stage…"
He finally understood.
He wasn't even at the true peak of Super Saiyan Second Stage yet.
Goku smiled. "Incredible, right? The first time I transformed, I surprised myself. This is my third time using it."
"Super Saiyan Third Stage is powerful. You didn't disappoint me. But after twenty years, you should have reached this level," Vegeta replied, forcing his ki to remain steady under the pressure.
Goku scratched his head slightly. "Yeah… I should be stronger. But after reaching this form, I gradually lost motivation. I hit a bottleneck and couldn't advance further."
"That's the path you chose. Regretting it now is useless," Vegeta said bluntly.
Goku nodded. "You're right. That's why I'm showing you this form. I believe you'll reach it faster. Maybe that will make my past self stronger too."
He then grew serious.
"Super Saiyan Third Stage is extremely powerful. Speed, strength, energy output—all increase dramatically. But it has a flaw. The stronger I become in this form, the faster my stamina drains. Even standing still consumes enormous energy."
Vegeta's eyes narrowed.
"Does it feel like your body has a leak? Like your ki is constantly escaping, and the more you fight, the worse it becomes?"
Goku blinked in surprise. "You can tell? Have you already touched this realm?"
Vegeta shook his head and revealed his tail.
"As a Saiyan, haven't you noticed you're missing something? The tail isn't a burden. It's the origin of our Saiyan power. Its existence has meaning."
"A tail…?" Goku murmured.
He had never considered it.
"Try restoring it," Vegeta said. "You might gain something unexpected."
He wasn't completely certain, but he knew one thing—having a tail was never a disadvantage for a Saiyan.
Goku nodded slowly. "I'll ask King Kai later. If that's really the issue, you've solved a huge problem for me."
They exchanged a long look before simultaneously powering down, returning to base form.
Vegeta had already grasped the flow of Super Saiyan Third Stage's ki. He knew the path now.
With time, he would surpass it.
Less than a year.
Back on King Kai's Planet, everyone was still shaken.
Super Saiyan Third Stage had left them speechless.
Goku suddenly clapped his hands. "Oh! I almost forgot something important. Since everything's settled, I need to bring someone here."
Before anyone could respond, Vegeta vanished using Instant Transmission.
In an instant, he returned to Earth, entering the 150x gravity chamber in West City.
He explained everything to Gohan and, under Trunks' eager gaze, brought both of them to the Other World.
He had considered bringing Bulma, but dismissed the idea.
If she learned that this timeline's Vegeta had long since died, it might break her.
Better not risk it.
He reminded Gohan and Trunks to keep everything secret. Bulma had already suffered enough.
Seeing Gohan again filled everyone with joy.
And Trunks—who had only been an infant when they died—now stood before them as a grown young man.
Time truly moved too fast.
After the emotional reunion, Gohan brought up Piccolo.
Vegeta had wondered about him as well.
Under Goku's explanation, he learned that Piccolo had originally gone to Heaven, but later trained on Grand Kai's Planet. Eventually, out of boredom, he requested to train in Hell.
Now, in Hell, Piccolo had earned a fearsome reputation. To the wicked souls there, he was truly the Demon King.
Goku used Instant Transmission to bring Piccolo over.
Piccolo had already sensed their battle but couldn't travel instantly himself.
Seeing the grown Gohan filled Piccolo with pride.
To him, Gohan was like a son.
Gohan was equally emotional.
Goku even brought Gohan to Heaven to see Chi-Chi, Ox-King, Master Roshi, Korin, and Yajirobe.
Watching this, Vegeta felt both irritated and amused.
Everyone here was enjoying peace in the afterlife.
Only Bulma had endured everything alone.
He barely spoke the entire time.
Trunks sensed the distance too.
It felt like they didn't belong.
After returning to Earth, Gohan bowed slightly. "Thank you, Uncle Vegeta. Because of you, the world is peaceful, and I could see Dad and Uncle Piccolo again."
Vegeta gave a short nod and walked off to find Bulma.
Trunks and Gohan were left standing together awkwardly.
"Brother Gohan, you don't need to feel guilty. You've always fought to protect Earth," Trunks said quietly.
Gohan's eyes softened.
He understood.
And he would never forget it.
