The world was spinning faster and stopped moving at the same time. In the sea of masks, Arthur couldn't feel the air in his lungs. Or perhaps he just forgot how to breathe.
A name of one person ringing in his mind, but he couldn't put a face to that name. He couldn't match his beloved's visage to the one lying on the ground. His phone was ringing too, but he couldn't hear anything.
He wanted to run to the one lying on the ground.
He wanted to go somewhere no one was around.
His legs were numb with fear that spread to the rest of his body like a constricting snake, gripping around his lungs that stopped his breathing. His mind was trying its hardest to resist, fingers trembling in fighting response--
