"Haaaa," Goten yelled out as the grass around him started to shake.
The air around him began to blow outwards, pushing Gohan back a bit.
"What is this?" Gohan was in shock.
Goten's hair began to tilt upward, and the blonde and black colours started flashing back and forth.
"Is that Super Saiyan?" Gohan was taken aback.
"Even I was unable to go Super Saiyan at his age and needed lots of training before I was able to transform." Gohan was still in disbelief.
Then, suddenly, Gohan's eyes widen even further in shock.
Blue lighting energy blots started to appear around Goten's body as his hair fully transformed into blonde.
The air pressure disappeared as Goten charged at him.
And the light bolts are constantly appearing and disappearing around Goten's body.
Goten's hair was more spiky than it was before, his eyes seemed a bit more intense and Gohan realised that Goten's innocence and naivety could not be seen in him anymore.
"Super Saiyan 2," Gohan said as he looked at Goten.

At the Kami's lookout.
Piccolo who was meditating stopped and opened his eyes.
He then looked towards the direction where Gohan's house was located.
"Hmm. Is that Gohan's ki? It's similar but it's kind of a bit different." Piccolo said.
"It's that kid." Piccolo immediately realised that the ki belonged to Goten.
He would not have realised that the ki belongs to Goten if he hadn't just met him a few days ago.
"Gohan's brother is really strong. Isn't he?" Dende said to Piccolo.

At Capsule Corporation.
Vegeta was training intensely under the increased gravity from the gravity chamber while using his Super Saiyan form.
He was training so that he could defeat Son Goku in the upcoming Budokai.
Vegeta has achieved Super Saiyan 2 after training almost non-stop since the Cell Games.
Despite the world being at peace Vegeta knew that he still hadn't reached the power level that a teenage Gohan had unlocked when he fought Cell.
It would not have mattered if he weren't prideful and just let go of his ego, but to Vegeta, it was almost impossible to do so.
Then he just like Piccolo, also sensed Goten's ki.
"Hmm. I thought Kakarrot's older son had let himself go but it seems that I was wrong." Vegeta said.
"Wait. That ki. It's similar but different from Kakarot's older brat. Don't tell me." Vegeta said, and then he realised that the ki that he felt was too similar to the one that he felt from Goten a while ago.
Vegeta was also familiar with both Goten and Gohan's ki, so he was able to distinguish that there was a slight difference between the ki he just sensed and the ki that Son Gohan possessed.
"No. It should be from Gohan. I refused to accept such a thing." Vegeta said as he denied himself.
Although he knew that deep down it was not Gohan's ki, he didn't want to admit that he was surpassed by a kid that have not even reached the age of ten yet.
Because the ki that he was sensing right now despite not surpassing the ki that Gohan had in his teenage years is still more than what Vegeta currently possess even if he was using Super Saiyan 2 form.
Thankfully he still didn't know that his own son was roughly equal if not even stronger than Goten.
He then moved towards the control panel of the gravity chamber to increase the gravity.

"Now ready or not here I come," Goten said as he picked up one rock to throw at Gohan.
"Wait. Goten." Gohan tried to stop him but at that time Goten had already thrown the rock at him.
Gohan was only able to dodge the rock by a slight distance.
The rock still destroyed the tree that it hit after it missed Gohan.
Gohan looked at the destroyed tree while looking dumbfounded.
"Gohan. What did you want me to wait for?" Goten asked.
"Goten. I was wondering if we could spar instead." Gohan asked.
At first, he was only planning to use Goten to get his reflexes up again before the tournament but now he realised that Goten could be a really valuable spareing partner.
"Do you know what sparring is, right?" Gohan asked Goten.
"Yeah. That's how Trunks and I usually spend our time together." Goten answered.
"I see," Gohan replied.
"Hey. Goten, I was wondering, is Trunks also as strong as you?" Gohan asked.
"He should be slightly stronger. After all, he was able to train in the gravity chamber with his dad and is older than me." Goten replied.
I should be able to beat Goten and Trunks in the tournament, right? Gohan thought to himself.
"So are we going to start?" Goten asked.
"Sure," Gohan replied.

At that time. In a hideout located in a desert not very far away.
"Hmm. That power. If I managed to collect it I would be able to release Majin Buu faster than I initially planned." An old short ugly alien who was floating in front of a crystal ball said.
"Master, should I get ready and try to find the source of that power right away?" A demon with pink skin and yellow eyes asked.
"No. Let's wait for a while." The ugly alien replied.
"I have a feeling that all of my plans will go down the drain if you rush things too much." The ugly alien continued.
"I am sorry, Master Babidi." the demon apologised.
