“H-How… did you recognize me?” She shivered against his touch, her heart beating wild as the man closed in, the familiar strokes of his sharp features emerging out of the cold shadows of the night.

“I told you once, sweetheart.” He whispered against her skin, his breath slithering around her like a predatory snake rounding up its prey.

“Even if your bones were to be grounded to dusts and every fiber of you, burnt into ashes, I would recognize you with just a glance.” The fingers on her chin tightened as he forced her to face the burning rage of his resentment.

It had been 6 years… 6 years of waiting by the window like a fool who he himself looked down upon. However, he was no longer the fool of the past. And neither was he the powerless man who can only beg and wait.

“Don’t you ever think about escaping from me again. In this lifetime, no, for as long as I stay in the same universe as you, you can only be mine, mine alone.”

It was not a promise only to her, but also to himself. For he was now the mad tyrant who knew no reason, the tyrant who was bent on getting whatever that he had wanted.
