Hulk was lying at the bottom of the crater, covered in wounds. Cracks riddled his green skin, but it was slowly healing.
Adam was suspended in the air above, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Clearly, that attack had taken a lot out of him.
"Not down yet?"
On the terrace, Xiao Han leaned back in a lounge chair, raising an eyebrow. "This Hulk is quite something."
Suddenly, Hulk's body began to convulse violently. Veins bulged beneath his skin, and his muscles started to writhe unnaturally.
"What's happening?" Natasha exclaimed in the distance.
Hulk curled up in agony, letting out a soul-piercing roar, his eyes fixed on Adam with hatred.
His size began to shrink, and the green color gradually faded.
A few minutes later, the person lying at the bottom of the crater was no longer Hulk, but Dr. Banner, back in human form.
He opened his eyes weakly, his voice hoarse: "Is... it over?"
Adam landed beside him, watching him warily: "Dr. Banner? Tell me you're in a good mood right now, otherwise, I might have to consider fighting you."
"It's... it's me..." Banner sat up with difficulty, "I... need to rest..."
Xiao Han, seeing this, retracted his gaze.
"The show's over." He clapped his hands and lay back down on the chair.
"Turing, continue monitoring their movements."
"Understood, sir. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are approaching that area," Turing reported.
"Nick Fury just announced the official launch of the Avengers Initiative."
Xiao Han chuckled. "He finally got his super boy band together."
He closed his eyes, but his super hearing was still focused on the distant conversation.
"Join us, Dr. Banner." Natasha's voice called out.
"We can help you control Hulk."
"I need to consider…" Banner replied weakly.
"The world needs more guardians like you…" That was Adam's voice.
Xiao Han shook his head, no longer paying attention.
He looked up at the starry sky, his thoughts drifting to a distant place.
Just then, a light footstep sounded behind him.
"Not asleep yet?" Wanda's voice came from the stairwell.
Xiao Han didn't turn around: "You too?"
Wanda walked over and sat down beside him, her red hair shimmering in the moonlight.
She followed Xiao Han's gaze to the starry sky: "What are you looking at?"
"The future," Xiao Han replied briefly.
Wanda tilted her head and looked at him: "You're always like this, so mysterious."
Xiao Han's lips curled into a smile: "That's how all mages are."
The two were silent for a moment, the night wind gently brushing the terrace.
"Your conversation during the day, about Monaco," Wanda suddenly said.
Xiao Han raised an eyebrow: "So?"
"So..." Wanda bit her lower lip.
"If you change your mind and want to go, I can go with you."
Xiao Han turned to look at her, his golden eyes reflecting her figure: "You want to go?"
Wanda's face flushed slightly: "I just... want to see the outside world. I haven't... since Hydra..."
She hadn't finished speaking when Xiao Han stood up.
"Fine, we'll leave tomorrow, but not for Monaco."
Wanda's eyes widened. "Really? Where then?"
"Why not?" Xiao Han shrugged. "Training needs practical experience, anyway."
"Anywhere is fine, like, for example, Hawaii."
Wanda couldn't help but smile, crimson energy dancing excitedly on her fingertips.
Xiao Han looked at her, a hint of softness in his eyes. "Don't get too excited. We'll continue training when we get back."
"I know!"
Wanda happily stood up, her red hair arcing gracefully in the air. "I'll go pack!"
She skipped away, her footsteps light.
Xiao Han shook his head and turned towards the bedroom.
Morning
Sunlight streamed into the dining room through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Wanda placed the last plate of fried eggs on the table.
Crimson energy swirled at her fingertips, and the plate landed steadily in front of Xiao Han's usual seat.
"Turing, is he still in the training room?" Wanda asked softly, unconsciously twirling a strand of her red hair.
"Sir has been absorbing Artificial Sun Energy all night," Turing's voice came from the ceiling.
"Based on Superman's abilities, he's already sensed your entire breakfast preparation process."
Wanda's ears flushed, and just as she was about to speak, the door to the underground training room silently slid open.
Xiao Han walked in, the cuffs of his black casual shirt casually rolled up, revealing well-defined forearms.
The golden energy's afterglow hadn't completely faded from his pupils, flowing with his steps.
"The eggs are cooked better than yesterday."
Xiao Han sat down at the table, his fingertips lightly curved, and the coffee automatically floated to him.
Wanda pushed the toast towards him: "I added some spices, I don't know if you'll like it."
She watched Xiao Han cut into the fried egg, the golden yolk flowing onto the plate.
Xiao Han took a bite, raising an eyebrow. "Cinnamon and nutmeg?"
"You know about that?" Wanda opened her eyes in surprise.
"My taste buds can analyze molecular structures." Xiao Han waved his fork.
"But this combination is indeed quite good."
Wanda smiled, then lowered her head to cut her own breakfast.
Morning light filtered through her red hair, casting fragmented shadows on the white tablecloth.
"So."
She hesitated before speaking, "Is there anything special about Hawaii? To be honest, I've never been."
Xiao Han set down his coffee cup. "Sun, sand, and..."
Suddenly, he snapped his fingers in front of Wanda. A Plumeria appeared out of nowhere and landed beside her plate.
"An environment suitable for practicing Elemental Magic."
Wanda picked up the flower, and scarlet energy instinctively coiled around it, gold patterns appearing on the edges of the petals. "I thought it would be, a more serious training ground."
"Chaos Magic originates from emotions." Xiao Han stood up, the sunlight outlining his upright figure.
"A suppressed environment would only backfire."
He walked to the center of the living room and raised his hand, drawing a golden circle.
On the other side of the portal, blue waves crashed against a white beach, and palm trees swayed in the breeze.
Wanda jogged to catch up, stopping abruptly before stepping through the portal. "Wait, should I change into a swimsuit?"
Xiao Han entered the portal without looking back. "That would be better."
The warm Hawaiian breeze swept over them, carrying the scent of sea salt.
Wanda's bare feet sank into the soft sand, her toes sinking into the warm grains.
She inhaled deeply, and Chaos Magic unconsciously overflowed, forming a crimson mist around her.
"Control."
Xiao Han's voice came from behind. "Feel the resonance between the energy and the environment."
Wanda closed her eyes, letting the sea breeze caress her cheeks.
She found that the flow of magical energy here was indeed different, like a warm current enveloping her body.
When she opened her eyes again, the scarlet mist had stabilized, pulsing rhythmically with her breathing.
"Good."
Xiao Han had changed his attire at some point, and the sunlight revealed perfect body proportions, his muscle lines like a sculpture.
He pointed to the sea in the distance: "Now, try extending the energy onto the water."
Wanda's cheeks flushed slightly, and she hastily focused her attention.
Scarlet energy swept across the sea like a ribbon, stirring up tiny waves.
"Not control, but guidance." Xiao Han walked to her side.
"Imagine your magic as part of the sea breeze."
Following his guidance, the crimson energy gradually synced with the waves, refracting strange light in the sunlight.
Wanda was surprised to find that this time, the energy expenditure was much less than in the training room.
"Why is it easier here?"
"Elemental affinity." Xiao Han raised his hand, and a small stream of water rose from the sea, swirling in his palm.
"Every place has a unique energy field; finding the point of resonance makes things easier."
He suddenly grabbed Wanda's wrist, guiding her hand towards the sea: "Feel this frequency."
Wanda held her breath; Xiao Han's palm was warm and dry, and a strange energy fluctuation was transmitted through the contact.
She instinctively mimicked the frequency, and scarlet energy instantly spread, causing the entire sea area to shimmer.
"I did it!" she cheered, nearly colliding with Xiao Han's chin as she turned around.
The two were so close they could count each other's eyelashes.
Xiao Han's golden eyes narrowed slightly, "Not bad talent."
He released his hand and stepped back half a step, "Now try changing the form of the water."
Wanda hurriedly turned to face the sea, her red hair flying, concealing her blushing ear tips.
She focused, and scarlet energy intertwined on the sea surface, gradually condensing into a crystal-clear water castle.
"Too deliberate," Xiao Han commented, "Chaos Magic should be more..."
Before he could finish speaking, the Crystal Castle suddenly twisted and contorted, transforming into a massive water dragon that soared into the sky!
Wanda shrieked, as the water dragon lost control and plunged towards the beach!
Xiao Han instantly appeared in front of her, his eyes blazing with golden light.
