Chapter 199 - Book Two, Chapter 74: Meanwhile

(Last weeks 500 Stones Chapter)

The Emperor has returned to his workshop to compile the results of his physical tests and compare them with his pre-evolution results.

'Physically, I am already far superior to any regular man. From hearing to my muscles. It would seem that my weight went up as a side effect.' Marcus stroked his chin as he looked at the holograms before him.

It would seem that the evolution to an Innovator had several side effects. Well, these side effects are positive.

All over the board, he can see improvements.

'Even genetically, I am still considered human, though there is close to 2% difference between me and a regular man.'

All this means is that he would have a harder time impregnating women. Though… once they turn into Innovators, the percentage should balance out.

Not that this was an important metric. He already has enough offsprings as it is.

'Yet, the females keep on multiplying. I think they are attracted to the fact that I already have kids.' Marcus pondered.

In this situation, he should focus on biology rather than women's preferences.

'Hmm, whatever, I have far more interesting things to look at.'

A smirk appeared on his lips as he looked at the Mobile Suit schematics that appeared before him.

One of his most important tests is to see how much he can improve his Twin Drive-powered Gundam!

"..."

"..."

"..."

For a second, Marcus frowned. It's like before this, he was working half asleep, and now he finally got a good night's rest, and now he can see things differently.

Better, sharper and in more detail.

With that said, he began to flicker away some of the design choices.

He improved the armour, and the 'muscles' and reworked the cockpit integration into the frame.

"This looks much better."

[Wonderfully done, Your Majesty, you have improved the performance by around 3.2%]

Marcus snorted. It was an initial observation on his part. Now that he was on a 'different' level. He will use his Innovator abilities to make this machine as good as possible with the current technology he has.

"Good. Now we shall check piece by piece."

The Emperor flicked over the data designed by the two girls who were his assistants in making the Twin Drive suit.

They were responsible for blending Celestial Being's software with Anaheim's.

And now he will double-check it.

His eyes slightly glowed as he began to read through numbers and paragraphs in the console windows.

He would alter a couple of things before scrolling down. Bit by bit, he oversaw several days of work in a matter of minutes.

"Done. Try executing the commands, Legion."

[Running diagnostics…]

[GN particle dispersion stable, the particle flow and condensation are stable]

"Good… since simulations are good, we can continue working on the frame."

[Understood, Your Majesty. Some of the legislation is getting passed today. The Peacekeeping force is getting its space fleet approved.]

"About bloody time. It takes ages for them to do anything."

For a second, he scoffed, but then he remembered that this was good.

It means that the Emperor has more time to play around and develop his Alpha Tiranis.

With that said, he went to the lift that took him down to the mobile suit level.

Over there, he had a selection of circuit boards that needed to be altered.

The best part of this mash-up is that he doesn't need to make anything from scrap; that would be fun, and he might do that in the future, but now he wants to make a Twin Drive Gundam, not something brand new.

So without further delay, he went back to work. He needed to alter some of the functions, since this was no longer a Fusion Powered machine, so he went with Gundam 1's circuit boards. But the thing with that machine is that the frame was a bit different, so he needed to rework and reapply everything.

Most of this work was to double-check and ensure it fits what he wants.

While he was doing that, the females in the house were thinking about the greater picture, the Innovator stuff!

"So… umm… all we need to do is stay in the workshop?" Christina asked the AI as she was very intrigued by the whole 'superhuman powers' stuff.

[Yes, more precisely, you need to be in a place where particles are active. That is where TRANS-AM comes into play. The particles are supercharged and dispersed at once.

Creating a mutagenic cloud.]

"...Oh… so…"

[From my observations, the particles work on people differently. For some people, the transition would take longer.

I can safely assume that a mutagenic effect can happen even from regular particles.

However, the process could take years.]

"...so the Trans-am from twin drives accelerates that to a massive degree?" Wang Liu Mei said with a pondering look. She was thinking of regularly visiting the workshop just to see how it's going.

"Since it's a proven concept, I don't see why we can't return to the workshop and work there."

"Won't it look silly by this point? I am not shameless enough." Feldt sighed as she took a sip of her cold drink.

"W-What? You call me shameless!?" Christina looked offended!

"Yes. We ran away the moment he ran the tests, and now they were proven right. You want to return?" The Pinkette asked with a dreary tone.

"W-Well, it was dangerous!"

"Hmm, if you are worried, we can work as his assistants, bring food and stuff.

Since Kinue is gone with Milly, we can replace her." Wang Liu Mei suggested with a wink.

"...I have this feeling you just want to dress up as maids…" Feldt deadpanned at the Heiress.

"Maybe? I used to change clothes depending on the situation." The girl smirked at two Ex-CIC girls.

"...I guess… I do wonder how Miss Sumeragi is doing." All of a sudden, Feldt wondered what her old captain was doing.

"She should be on the other side of the portal." Wang Liu Mei replied with a distant look; she wanted to see some of the Precurson Human technology in action.

~~~~~~Meanwhile, on Other Side of the Portal~~~~~~
Leesa Kujo looked at the grey pyramids and massive arches that surround this ancient city. Well, calling it a city is a stretch.
"If you think this is a town or a city, then you are mistaken…" Shemna said to the Tactical Forecaster.
"I assumed that much. There are not enough houses. This should be some sort of transition hub?" The brown-haired woman reasoned from her observations.
"Indeed. I do not know as much as my husband does. But the pyramids themselves are like power plants, and once you are on top of them, you can control the energy.
They would tap into the power generated from the planet itself.
Now I do not know of the consequences of constantly using the planet to power it, we do know that we are using the magnetic field to synchronise with Earths that are very similar to ours."
"...Then you can open multiple portals to different Earths… invading them as well?" Leesa commented.
Another lady was listening to this conversation as well—the 2nd Generation Gundam Pilot of Celestial Being.
Her scars were healed, and her brown hair will eventually replace her white hair.
"Not quite…" Shamna shook her head.
Her reply caused them a bit of surprise.
"He told me that ruling one Empire is enough for him. Whatever other Earths he will visit will be purely for research and technology acquisition."
The pair sighed in relief.
"What? Were you afraid that he would force you to lead armies and fleets?" The blonde chuckled at them.
"He might love collecting talent, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't have a standing army and navy; just because he didn't want them to get involved, it doesn't mean that he can't." The blonde shook her head.
"His takeover of your world was nothing more than a side hobby. He never involved anything beyond his essential staff.
The wider world doesn't even know that he was in a different world playing politics as well."
"...So what kind of reaction would there be if they find out?" Leesa asked with a curious tone.
Shamna giggled for a second.
"What do you think an Imperialist society would think when they find out that their Emperor is missing?" The blonde asked in turn.
"...Point taken…" The tactical forecaster grimaced; she immediately imagined armies of Gundams and Knight-look-alike mobile suits invading the unsuspecting Earth from the South Pole.
"Precisely, Marcus was being nice when he appeared in your world." The blonde smirked as she looked at the Precurson Human Transition Hub in the distance.
They waited for a while until one of the researchers arrived to inform them.
"Empress, the Thought Elevator is ready. The one here will work as well." He delivered the news, making the blonde immediately look at the two ex-Celestial Being officers.
"Good. It would seem your consciousness can be elevated; that is wonderful news."
"Is that why we were staying here in the South Pole?" Leesa asked in turn, she was confused why they were staying in this ice cube. It was cold just looking at the ice mountains in the distance.
"Indeed. I didn't want to lose you two. You do realise how pissed off my husband will be when he learns that his valuable talent became vegetables or something as bad as that."
"..."
"..."
The pair paled a bit. But then they took a deep sigh of relief.
"So we can use this… Thought Elevator?"
"Indeed. We are going to use Marcus' Thought Elevator. It's in that hub over there." Shamna pointed at the Precurson Human Base.
~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~

Kinue looked at the sprawling megacity below. While the skyscrapers are the norm in her life, flying cars are not!

And they were everywhere.

"Welcome to the Capital of the World. This is Constantinople. Marcus' pride and joy. His private domain consists of Anatolia and Greece. It's where the latest experimental technology is introduced.

Of course, nothing beats Academy City, but nonetheless, when he is on a roll, you will find tech first here, then around the world and beyond." Milly explained to her maid.

"...if this is his territory, why are we coming here?"

"Fufufu, I am still Empress, and I still have meetings to attend, and you, as my maid, you will attend them as well."

"...You are doing this on purpose, aren't you?" Kinue sighed; she is learning, bit by bit, how seriously evil this blonde woman can be.

"How did you come up with that?" Milly rolled her eyes at the maid.

"...Ugh…"

"I am simply giving you what you wanted as a reporter. Scoops after scoops." The blonde's eyes gleamed with a bit of sadism.

"...It doesn't matter anymore, now does it? I am in a literally different reality."

"Indeed. These are your consequences. Marcus saved your life. His Geass literally sees future paths, and in 99.8% paths, yours end very early.

Do you understand what this means?" Milly asked with a frown.

"...I die."

"You die. But now, you don't die."

'No… I serve a devil.' Kinue thought to herself as she returned to looking at the Capital. As the shuttle arrived at a massive citadel, the maid realised the scale of things was immense. Far bigger than she thought.

The skyscrapers here were at least three times bigger! She can't see the tops because the clouds cover them!

"We utilise gravity technology to allow such a scale of construction.

As I said, most of the experimental tech gets tested here. That includes these buildings.

Since tech passed the testing phase, it will be used in space colonies and other planets." Milly explained as their shuttle arrived in the Imperial Citadel.

Several women were waiting at the landing area.

They were all dressed in imperial clothing.

'Are those Empresses I heard about?'

"Let's go, Anna and Leila are waiting, I heard Jupiter's expansion is upon us. Isn't it fascinating? You will see humanity's greatest achievement to date.

Colonising a Gas Giant. The radiation of that world could kill you in moments; we have technology to shield against it."

"...You will build a colony around that thing?"

"Not just one, but at least four colonies," Milly smirked.
