Instantly, Luke screamed "Get in formation!" He pointed with his spear."I lead the middle group! Sophie you take the left!" "Yes!" Sophie shouted, already giving commands to her platoon, with Johan riding right behind her."Ice you take the right!" Ice nodded once and rushed off, commanding his platoon to form up."Thomas, Riot stay with me," Luke said. "There's no one else I'd rather have." Stuart, Albert, Kwame, and Tyrese manned the guns inside the bus.
Toa and Tupu, along with many of their warriors, joined Ice's formation on the right.
Luke, Thomas, and Riot stood at the center with most of Kwame's people forming a tight platoon around them. Sophie's side had Pooch, Johan, and Johan's armored knights ready to charge. Then over a small hill the first wave of the demon army appeared. A line stretching miles long. Demon rhinos. Mutants in white masks riding them. Weapons of every kind rusted bats, bloody machetes, old AK‑47s. Azazel hovered above them, arms crossed, wings spread. Luke rode back and forth on his horse, long blond hair whipping in the wind. "Positions! Get in position!" He spoke into the earpiece. "Sophie you in position?" "In position.""Ice?" "In position." "Wait for my signal," Luke said.The human army locked shields, forming a wall. Some were scared. Some angry. Some shaking. Ice saw it."No need to fear!" Ice shouted. "They can only kill the flesh \not the spirit!" The fear vanished. The army stood ready. Azazel lifted his left arm… then gestured downward. The demon rhinos unleashed, sprinting toward the heroes with earth‑shaking force. Luke stood at the very front."Hold!" he shouted. The rhinos thundered closer halfway now. Luke screamed "Sophie NOW!" Sophie raised her arm. A volley of flaming arrows filled the sky, raining down like burning hail. Rhinos fell, others screamed, more were wounded. "Hold!" Luke yelled again.The rhinos were seconds away."Albert NOW!" Albert, positioned far behind with ten soldiers, fired the mortars.The night sky lit up like fireworks explosions ripping through the rhino ranks, scattering them, breaking their formation. But the ones that survived kept charging."Get ready for impact!" Luke roared. Thomas jumped off his horse, aura flaring bright.A trembling soldier holding a shield looked at him.Thomas placed a hand on his shoulder. "Stay close to me. You'll be fine." The man nodded, unable to speak."They're here!" Luke screamed. The rhinos smashed into the front lines, breaking shields, sending soldiers flying. The war erupted instantly. Every rhino that broke through was stabbed by swords and spears. Mutant riders fought desperately, slashing wildly.A massive rhino charged straight toward Thomas and the soldier beside him.Thomas stepped in front of the man."Get ready!" The soldier pointed his spear forward, shaking. All around them, rhinos threw people into the air, breaking anything they touched but humanity matched their intensity, hijacking rhinos,sttabbing and slashing any piece of flesh in arms distance, fighting like hell. Blood already littered the ground.The rhino barreled toward Thomas.Thomas jumped, kicked the rider off, grabbed the rhino's reins, and turned it at the last second before it hit the front line.The soldier stabbed the rhino with his spear in the neck, killing it. The beast collapsed a feet away from them.Thomas hopped off. "Good job. Now help our people." The man nodded and ran into the chaos. Thomas's aura flared brighter.
He moved through the crowd, fighting rhinos and mutants alongside the army of humanity.
