"Go…"
A hollow voice called out in the void.
"Go… and… proliferate"
"Go…"
"…"
It repeated, followed by the sound of something moving.
Images flashed—countless large rocks whistling across the space, skies burning brightly in the day, and indescribable screams that filled one's ears.
It was nothing short of insanity.
Nothing short of confusion.
And then—
"Haa!"
Hans jolted out of bed, heaving deeply, and his hands gripped the soft cloth hard enough to rip parts of it open.
What dream was that?
He clutched his head, feeling sweat stick to his hands. Bright sunlight shone across his face, blinding him for a moment.
After a brief pause, the blur settled and his sight cleared.
Bed, I'm home.
Or so he thought. He looked around, finding the room familiar.
Oh, I'm in the fortress. Right.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, letting the memories settle in his mind. For a moment after waking, he hadn't known who he was, where he was, or why he was here.
