Lillian perfectly sculpted brows lifted up to her equally perfect hairline. "Oh? And how are you so certain he is the one when you've limited yourself to the Academy? I'm sure there might've been a perfect match for you at Bessarion or even Haywood."
Kenneth didn't like where this was going nor did he appreciate the implications hidden behind her words. Sweet tones and circuitous phrasing that belied what she truly wanted to say. It was clear this woman didn't think he was perfect enough for her son. He nearly scoffed at the notion. At the idea.
