Clarissa came to our 18th birthday celebration. Her expression was cold, clearly displeased.
She must have seen the banner, one that only had my name on it, as if the event had been prepared solely for me.
She should have known. In the Alpha Green household, I was the only one acknowledged as the daughter.
Even so, I was willing to let her be the star of the night. A star meant to be ridiculed by the elite werewolves.
Alpha made the announcement in front of everyone, revealing Clarissa's "true" identity.
"Clarissa is not our biological daughter. She is the child of the kidnappers who attempted to abduct Shannon and replace her with Clarissa at birth. They even injected substances to alter eye color and carved a birthmark to make Clarissa appear to be Luna's child.
